No need for Great Stuff when you’ve got Cold Tape.
This is a great product. Yes- the adhesive is hardcore stuff, so make sure you open the shrinkwrap in a well-ventilated room. Yes- the adhesive will lift paint off of wood and leaves residue behind. But once contact is made, this tape will not release and I believe in the claim that it will adhere in temperatures as low as minus ten degrees farenheit. This is is a must have for sealing up window air conditioners to keep bugs, smog and hot air from coming in the gaps. Great Stuff is all that- but this is Cold Tape.

Good stuff!
I use this on my windows in my motor home and it works great!

No evidence it does the job.
Strong adhesive, I was afraid it would remove the paint from the window trim and sills. I will try it on unpainted surfaces, or metal to see if it does what it is suppose to.

Doesn't stick for long on cold surfaces
Wish I'd read the reviews more thoroughly here. Tried using tape to seal out drafts around a wall-mounted indoor air-conditioner. Temperatures here at the time were 20-50 F.Tape tuck at first. After a few days, I checked in on it and it was peeling all the way around the A/C unit. Useless stuff. Wish I'd returned it but I waited too long.

Must use a hairdryer and it will stick perfectly!
Thanks to another reviewer that said to use a hairdryer, it sticks very well after putting some heat on it. I love this stuff, its easy to apply and easy to heat up with a hairdryer and just press it on well. One roll did 2 windows and a front dorr with plenty on the roll left. Do not believe other reviewers that say it doesnt stick well. If you dont use a hairdryer on it, it wont stick. But with just applying some hot air it stays stuck very well. -patty

Frost King clear weather seal
I liked this product, but unfortunately it didn't last more than a month. Possible because of the cold outside vs the heat inside. I'm not sure, but I bought it again. When it's on it does work. I just wish it stayed on longer

Seems to work just fine
Bought this to try to stop the winter draft around a window air conditioner. After trying a couple products this seems to be working just fine. I also really like that its clear, and not an eye sore. Just wish it wasn't so expensive

inferior adhesion
Joining plastic sheets, products adhesion level was not so good

Doesn't work.
I applied a three inch long strip of this tape, plus a three inch long strip of Gorilla tape to a tent shelter tarpaulin that was ripping out. The temperature at the time was minus 5C. The gorilla tape was easy to rip off the roll, but I had to use scissors to cut the Frost King tape. The Gorilla tape is still tightly adhered to the tarpaulin. The Frost King fell off. I repeated the experiment three times at different subzero temperatures with the same results every time. I DO NOT recommend this tape. It is much more expensive than the Gorilla tape, and does not work as well.

Does not hold things together, will only keep the inside in and the outside out.
I used this tape to seal the seams of an indoor greenhouse. It works well for that purpose, and it's clear so that's nice too. The adhesive is very weak and will come off if you're trying to attach two things together. So it would work for something like sealing a crack in a window or a hole in a wall, but it would not work to hold something in place.
