I bought this for my cabin after a power outage and nearly freeing mu hot tub, the spa company quoted me $1500 for a remote add on. The system was easy to setup with WiFi and worked like a charm. Instructions on the app had a step by step instruction. I got confused if the reader can be submerged which I figured yes after watching you tube video. The reading is very accurate and amazingly scientific. The ph reading is very close to the strip and temp is correct. For Chlorine the device uses ORP which is the oxygenation level and I see changes instantly when I add chlorine or add pH adjusted. Well spent 500 box for ease of mind for remote monitoring!

I don’t have a phd in chemistry, but a recent pool renovation makes me feel like I need one. So I looked at various tools that can help me, and I stocked up on test strips, chemical test kits, and this water analysis tool. It’s a real struggle to balance everything with just some of the details, like ph but not alkalinity. To counter that they include some test strips, and in theory I can take a photo of the strip within the app and it includes the details in its analysis. Well with our latest and greatest iphone14 pro max the app can’t seem to focus on the test strip (not a problem AT ALL just using the camera, so it’s an app problem) and this feature simply fails to work. Next failure is in what it’s telling me to do: right now I’m trying to figure out my water hardness and this app is telling me that my level is low, and the remedy it suggests is to LOWER the total hardness. And I can acknowledge that recommendation with either “complete” or “snooze”. Not very helpful. This last nit to pick is one that I knew before buying: it’s impossible to put this unit out of the way where it’s not a tripping hazard. It needs to be permanently mounted within a foot or two of the pool with the cable to the probe running from it into the pool. Attaching it to the ladder sort of hides it but there it will interfere with using the ladder, get wet, and likely hit and knocked around. I mounted mine to my skimmer lid so I have to put an orange cone over it when I anticipate foot traffic around the pool (and the cone greatly reduces the wifi connectivity making it useless until the cone is removed). So it’s a tripping hazard that adds no value and costs a lot of money. It’s not saving me any trips to the pool store for water analysis, or saving me any time for doing my own analysis. It really is useless. P.S. perhaps I’m being a bit harsh: it remotely tells me the water temp, so it replaced the floating thermometer that costs less than 10% of the cost of this

The instructions were clear, and the app connected without any issues. I appreciated how smooth the process was right from the start. The app itself is very intuitive and has already made a big difference in how I manage my pool. After opening for the season, I was able to get my water balanced quickly — much faster than in past years. I used to spend a lot of time guessing and testing, but now the monitor gives me real-time updates and actionable recommendations. One of the most helpful features is the chemical dosing calculator. Based on the size of my pool, the app tells me exactly how much of each chemical to add. This takes the guesswork out of pool care and makes shopping for chemicals way easier. I no longer overbuy or underdose. Overall, this monitor has taken the stress out of pool maintenance. It’s reliable, easy to use, and saves me both time and money. I highly recommend it to any pool owner looking to simplify their routine.

Easy set up, well-built app that provides great guidance on what chemicals (and how much) to add. Bought this to manage a 385 gallon hot tub and I saw the value of this device on day one. I'm bummed that I have to pay for monitoring after year 1, but subscriptions are pretty much the standard now it seems. Setup was simple and was done in less than 5 minutes. Calibration took a bit longer but it was done in a little over 24 hours. The readings are well-presented and the advice given based on this data was accurate and easy to follow. This makes managing the spa water so much easier. This is ultimately a good value for the money.

Great piece of equipment to help simplify pool testing. We were paying a company to manage our pool chemicals. After our pool turned green fired the company and bought the crystal. It took a few weeks of adding chemicals but made the process much less difficult and removed the guessing. Only down side is still needing to use test straps. It does offer a convenient picture feature as part of the app to help read the strips but would be nice if the device would just read all the chemicals.
