After testing out this grow light, I can say that it’s made very well. The full spectrum light is definitely the best feature of the lamp.The color is vibrant yet tasteful. The light is much more appealing than many of the other grow lights I have seen. The extension cord is just under 6ft long. The cord is very sturdy and seems to be long-lasting. As the light has a high-speed fan, I was expecting it to be loud. I am impressed by how quiet the fan actually is. It is quieter than a ceiling fan. I barely hear the hum of the fan while in the next room.The exterior of the light is aluminum on all sides. I thought that this would make the light heavy, but the light only weighs about 5 lbs. I found that I can trust the included hanging cables are sufficient for supporting the weight of the light. However, the cables are only 1 ft long. Depending on the height of your grow system, you may need to add additional length to hang it at the desired height. I will need to add an extension chain to hang the lamp above my plants, as I will be hanging the lamp from the ceiling.The lamp is very durable (it took an accidental drop with no issues). Overall, I am confident in the quality of the Macegrow LED Grow Light- MG450!

the light got to my home fast and in good working order. it was extremely bright. I dont think however that is any good for growing cannabis. I tried at many different heights from 18 inches to 4 feet. my plants turned yellow and never got any better. I returned it, bought two a19 bulbs from home depot and bam!!. back to green. the light sucks and was a complete waste of money

A decent value COB led system with a primary limitation.. Leaf burn. Dont treat this like a conventional LED as it must be raised much highier above the canopy then typical LED growlights. Not a good finishing light as it will impeed growth directly under it even raised high in a 6ft tent....... With that in mind its a VERY effective light when used accordingly.. Heat outputs is substantially less then older style led systems of the equivalent wattage which makes humidity levels more normal and reduces water loss in plants and soil.... The COB system would be more effective with slightly lower wattage lights designed to spread across a wider surface. As it sit its most ideal for plants under 2-3ft in height in a 6ft tall chamber.. or at least placed at the same height as a 400-600watt HID... Otherwise you will have the same growth issues as mentioned in other reviews. symptoms if not used with its limitations in mind with resemble sunbleaching or over lighting a plant not it being bad or wrong type of lights just too strong to be practicle per sqft

Like alot have said it doesnt last long.Had it for a few months and the lights die but the fan works.Let's see if they will replace it.Edit,its been over 2 weeks,3 messages to them later and still no word back,beware if it breaks you're out of luck.

I purchased this light to grow 16 juvenile cacti through the Chicago area winter. So far this grow light has worked perfectly. The 2 large full spectrum LEDs are surrounded by 6 red and blue small LEDs. So the 2 large lights and 12 small lights really seem to work very well. I only have the light on 6 hours a day as cacti are dormant during the winter and this is working fine. The fan is louder than I thought it would be, but it's not a big deal. I can't imagine this not working for any plants requiring full spectrum lights. There in no separate switches for veg and bloom, but the sun doesn't either. All you cannabis growers might want to consider the 900W light depending on how many plants you're working, but you can also daisy chain this unit, which I will do after I re-pot my plants this spring. Bottom line is you can't go wrong. Enough said... Now if I could only obtain some Lophophora williamsii...

I really enjoyed this light while it worked. Stopped working after a couple months of use. Fan would run but all of the lights were out.

Wow! These lights are amazing. I have germinated over 50 different kinds of seeds for my out door garden and every plant seems to love this light. I have used a lot of the burple led grow lights and none of them come close to the performance these lights offer. Huge difference switching from the blue/red ledgrow lights. I have never seen plants grow so fast under a amazon light. Highly recommend.

This little light is really bright, I was surprised how bright it lit my area up. after hours of running the case is cool to the touch, very little heat comes out of this light. The light was very well packed comes with wire stranded cable hanger and a yo-yo hanger to move the light up and down. Great light if you want to do a small grow like myself. If I have any issues with the light, I will post an update.it's been two weeks and the plants are growing like crazy.. I thought I'd update the post to let you know that this light really works,and my plants really love this light..UPDATE..sadly its been 6 months and my light has started blinking. I have tried several times to contact Macegrow through email with no success. The light worked well when it was working but not worth 6 months of use.
