WII Summer Sports games
As a slight overweight 60+ female, I wanted to lose weight without having to exercise. The WII system seemed like the perfect way to do that so I bought the package with Sports. Further research at Amazon.com led me to purchase Summer Sports. It is better than I thought, is fun, and gets me to "exercise" by playing games (horseshoes, croquet, badminton, etc.) Much better than tedious and boring exercise that I find difficult to commit to.

Not user friendly!
This game was a waste of money and time. Each game was difficult to play. Not because the sports themselves were hard but, because of all the different buttons or motions you had to implement to play them. You had to have 4 players for each game at all times. Therefore if you only had 2 of you then you also had to pick the computer characters and control them as well. The sports to choose from would be great if you could actually play them! This game was very irritating and we will never buy a game made by this company again!

Great Potential; bad, bad execution
Excellent cartoon-style graphics start you off thinking this is going to be a great game, but this feeling won't last long.I started with badminton and picked my partner based on the description in the manual. She was supposed to be an outstanding badminton player. In a game that we lost 11 to 0, she swung and hit the birdie once and she swung and missed the birdie twice. The rest of the time, she just stood there while the birdie fell at her feet. In the second game, we lost 11-5 because I took her shots as well as my own.I suppose there's a way to do it, but I could not figure out how to change my view from a spectator to a player, so I played both games as If I were watching from a grandstand at mid-court. That naturally takes the realism out of the game altogether.Mini golf turned out to be reasonably good. graphics are nice, the courses are fun and the obstacles are interesting. In fact the only significant problem with mini golf is ball speed control which seems to be almost non existent. It's very difficult to gauge the speed of your hit to get the ball into the hole. As a result you either hit short or you slam the ball and wind up with a longer shot next time.Lawn darts also turned out to be reasonably good but, once again, speed control seemed to be a problem. I found that if I threw the dart as hard as I could every time, I could usually score. This was true regardless of the speed or direction of the wind. On one occasion I missed short because I threw the dart into the face of a 5 mph wind. One time I missed left when I changed my point of aim slightly to the left with the wind coming from the left. As long as I threw as hard as I could straight toward the center of the circle I usually scored 1 point but I never hit the center and usually was short of the center ring but inside the 1-point ring.I haven't tried the other three games yet an d I'm not sure I will because even though I have an SD card installed in my console, I don't seem to be able to save my games. As a result, you have to start completely over every time you play, including setting up your player. That's a waste of time and a discouragement from playing. The bad part about this game is that it has incredible potential to be a really fun game if just a little more time had been spent tweaking it. I guess this is just another example of corporate greed pushing a product to market before it was really ready. Too bad.

Great Game
Plenty of great outdoor games for single or multiple players. Play alone against the computer or even team up with a computer team mate against two computer players at different difficulty levels for a better challenge.

Summer Sports Review
The game has a couple of different games. Volley ball is hard and not much fun due to the repetitiveness of the controls and play. The others (horseshoes, mini golf, lawn darts) are fun and just take a bit of getting use to. They are enjoyable. The game lacks the use of the miis and the control are at times sporadic. Overall i think its fun and it gives a little more diversity to the sports that you can play on the wii. I have been waiting a while for horseshoes and i am glad someone finally put it out. Granted the game could be better but take what ya can get for now.

I purchased this WII game for my nephews for Christmas. I realize you can find them in stores but the ease of finging it on Amazon is much better. Price was right and I would recommend this to anyone.
