I usually don't take time to write a review, but this car top carrier was AWESOME! We loved the fact that it was PORTABLE and easy to use.We bought it for a trip out west where we were flying into an airport and then getting a rental car. We knew that our luggage wouldn't all fit in the rental. But how do you pack a car top carrier? When I found this one at Amazon, I was optimistic. But I wasn't sure how heavy duty it would be in actual use....if it was small enough to fit in a small bag the size of a laptop case.Well, we were pleasantly surprised that this carrier worked as well as it did. It was easy to put in a suitcase on the plane. Then (after leaving the rental car company's parking lot) we put it on top of our rental Jeep and shoved some of our bulkier stuff in it. It worked great! We used it for a week and it was a quality product. It withstood a few light rain storms as well, keeping everything dry.Our Jeep did NOT have a roof rack so we used the clips and straps attached to the window frame as the directions showed. It felt pretty secure. However, like with most car top carriers, my husband felt that it still needed some additional support so he used small rope (parachute cord) and added to lines to the front that attached to the hood hinges. This worked well and at least made us feel better.We also purchased the rubber foldable mat that can go under it that other reviewers recommended. This was also a must for us since we were putting it on a rental and wanted to protect the roof. Also, the rubber mat helps prevent slipping of the carrier over time.Again, excellent car top carrier...but the fact that it folds up into a small bag the size of a laptop made it an AWESOME find!

I just ordered it few days ago and used it once, it was an amazing experience.You can notice it's a high quality product, assembly was pretty easy and there was room for all my stuff .Very recommended, good value for your money !

Four stars for only one reason. Company provides four tie downs. If you have cross bars on your roof, you could use all eight points to hold it in place. If eight straps were supplied it would be perfect. We purchased this for a trip to the beach. Placed on top of a van with the side bars. Follow the directions. We thought we could fill it and then put it up into place. 🤔. That didn’t work well due to the weight. Speaking of the weight 🤔. It can hold a lot of items. We had our suitcases, and just about everything else you could fit in - problem was - it was heavier than the roof could hold. We emptied it out and placed our other items in it and had no issues. It zips up perfectly, went through a rain storm that caused flooding in the area and still nothing was wet inside. We traveled around 65-75 mph with no issues. Make sure you tie the end of the straps up or you may hear the strap hitting the roof. Also used one regular ratchet strap for the center as a precaution due to never using one of these before. You don’t have to use one, but we wanted to be safe. Overall it is a great price, gives you a storage bag, folds up for storage unlike the large plastic roof carriers, ton of space, no leaks, eight points to tie down to, and held up in the rain and heat for the trip down and trip up. About five hours each way. Looking forward to using it again. Would definitely recommend this item.

Very usefull product. It is very big and spacious so you can put everything you might need with you on top of your car and be extra comfterable inside. The product also came with a great handbag and it is very easy to assemble. Highly recommanded. It seems to have very good materials.

It doesn't work with a car that has not rack like it says. No instructions either.

Purchased this right before a vacation that required a 6 hour road trip through severe thunderstorms. Unfortunately, one of the buckles broke during tightening the night before we left.I contacted Vinosimo and they offered to next day another bag, free of charge. This wasn't an option, so I gorilla taped the buckle to the strap and the bag did great through the trip. Even with rain coming in sideways, so hard that the interstate was stopped in both directions, hardly any water made it into the bag.When we made it back, Vinosimo again offered to send us a free replacement bag, which we accepted. We have used it numerous times since then on weekend trips and the bag is holding up great. It is unbelievable just how much you can fit in this bag, and how well it holds up. Highly recommend this company and product!

This bag helped me make it from Alaska to Texas and carried all my belongings!Pros: easy to install, water proof, durable, very largeCons: the straps loosen on their own in high winds and slam the bag up and down on your car until you can pull over and make a dent that is 600 dollars to repair.The bag was installed and did it’s intended purpose, but driving 72+ hours is just a lot. At each rest stop and gas fill up I tightened the straps again, but when you’re going through an area with 50+mph wind, expect the straps to loosen and ruin your roof.Also, to put the straps on, you have to move the weather proofing strip, so try not to get caught in thunderstorms like I did. I had to pull over on the side of the road and duct tape the seal on my windows from the outside to stop the water from pouring in. The bag stayed dry on the inside, but not my car due to moving the weather strip.Over all the bag serves its intended purpose, just wish I didn’t have a ruined roof. I’d suggest adding more straps.

The carrier is well made and very easy to install but did get some wind underneath the front (due to the placement of the tie downs) which caused the bag to rise in the front when wind was able to get underneath it. This caused me to have to readjust/tighten the straps 3 times in a 9 hour drive. The additional negative is the highway noise created by the attachment to the window seals. There was no mention of the noise created by pulling the weather seal away from its intended and designed location. It was like driving in a wind tunnel for 9 hours. We had to raise our voices substantially in order to communicate.
