Is this product waterproof?

No it does not claim to be waterproof. It does say it resists perspiration. It also requires soap and water to remove from skin. In my experience of using it I didn't need to reapply from just sweating but if I submersed myself in water for any length of time - like swimming in a lake - I would reapply.

Can you bring this inn a checked bag on an airplane?

I don't think secrurity has a problem with it. However, when I did it, IT WAS LEAKING afterwards and was empty after a few days...
