Garbage
I wish I’d noticed that the reviews were not verified before I bought this. After it shipped, I got a poorly written email about how the adapter wouldn’t work with some paid content, and assurance that the company would work with me until I was satisfied. I’d seen the content warning in the product description, but surely it wouldn’t block iTunes? (It did). In all fairness to the sellers, I have not contacted them prior to writing this review, nor do I plan to. The unit is in the trash, where it belongs. I got the unit, plugged all the necessary cables into all the receptacles, and got a poor, intermittent connection from my phone to my television, that made my phone act strangely. I’m still not sure why I had to “trust this computer”, or why it was telling me how to connect to a modem, but it wouldn’t allow me to play iTunes content that I own, and that’s all I really want or need to know. So, I ate the loss and went and got an actual Apple adapter. They’re pricey, but I’ve gotten no weird messages and it works flawlessly. Do yourself a favor, and don’t buy this.

Doesn’t even work. After it ships I got an email saying it didn’t work with most streaming services. Regardless, can’t get it working at all.All reviews until mine are fake.

Received email after purchase saying it will not work with any paid programming services which is correct. Now that I upgraded to the Iphone XS Max it doesn't work at all. Don't believe it's compatible with IOS12. Wish I had my money back.

It works for more then just Sling Studio
I got this with a Sling Studio and it works as expected. I also plugged it into my ASUS laptop's C port and was able to connect said laptop to the internet via Ethernet, (the laptop does not have an Ethernet port, just WiFi) I turned off the wifi when I plugged this in.

Stream video to your “not-so-smart” TV
I purchased this adapter so that I can connect my iPhone or iPad large screen TVs in boardrooms to make presentations. It works well but can freeze which you fix by unplugging the adapter from the hdmi cable. Also finding the right software to download to your device was challenging because I do not know Chinese.

The lightning plug is loose and keeps losing connection.

Doesn't work at all!!!
Didn't try it until return window had closed. Tried it to stream video from my iPhone to TV and didn't work for either streaming services or my own video. Contacted seller and received NO response. Stay away.

Doesn't work for video streaming
Works fine until you try to play any video. You can see the screen but YouTube, Netflix or any other streaming service just gets stuck when you try to play a video. Returning.
