I've been swimming quite a few times with my son and having naturally curly hair it was always a pain when you get out and you have to restart your hair so I saw a lady wear one of these at the swimming pool and decided to try it. I have shoulder length hair and it's easy to put on where your hair sits at the end the only problem is because it's so tight it makes you look like you've got a massive hat on that sticks up above your head and in order to reduce the height of the cap beyond your head you have to push the air out which subsequently squashes your curls and during swimming some water does get in so it's not completely waterproof I would say and I did feel a bit self-conscious wearing it and I'm not sure I would continue wearing it although the product itself is very good it's more a personal thing about feeling a bit self-conscious

This cap size XL (black on pic) would be great for super thick or curly waist or longer hair or dreadlocks. Bit too big for me. Rather for bigger head ;) I still use it but it let's in some water, but keeps hair mostly dry. I got size S (purple on pic) and XS for my daughter who is 6 yo - XS is too small for her and doesn't have extra space for hair, just regular rubber cap for kids, and S could be smaller for her as it let's in some water but keeps hair mostly dry - it fits me perfect - my hair are chest long and thick anough. All in all go for size S if in doubt.

We need more of these! My daughter no longer feels awkward when she is not wearing the same colour hat in her lesson. She feels stigmatised because she has a lot of hair and the usual hats do not fit on her head. It stays on, it is comfortable to wear. It is easy to get on and off. Great seal and it is fit for purpose. It is quite thick as well so does not rip easily. It comes in great colours too that match the colours of the swimming grades. Perfect.

Purchased the XL swim cap yesterday evening after my friend asked me to join her for a swim after work today. The parcel arrived before I finished work! I have just had 18” box braids fitted and this fit over them perfect. Thought I was really going to struggle trying to put the cap on, but no went straight over my braids! I turned the cap inside out and just wrapped from the bottom of a ponytail bun, was really easy! It fit so snug. I really didn’t want any water leaking in so I added a big elastic headband around the edges just to be safe- I swam about 20 lengths & then had about 10 min in the sauna. Honestly not a single drop of water got through! Braids are bone dry! So happy with this purchase- Thank you 😊

Beware, I purchased one size XL but when it arrived it was an L in an XL bag. supplier needs to check this out as when I ordered a replacement the same thing happened. See picture the pink one is an XL from a few years ago and is a wonderful swimming cap.

Brilliant For People With Long, Or Very Thick Hair. This cap fits snuggly without feeling like it's going to compress your skull and break it, and doesn't give you a instant migraine. For anyone saying swim cap doesn't fit well and their hair gets wet still, they aren't designed to be waterproof, and your hair will get slightly damp still. To put the hat on open with your hands inside and put on over your forehead first and then stretch it over the back of the rest of your head. I've found a low bun works best.

I am pleased with the concept, as it appears to accommodate all of the hair, given that my daughter has braids, and it fits perfectly. However, it is unfortunate that when we removed the cap, all of the water was retained within it, and her hair became completely soaked.

I ordered the black xl and it’s perfect. I went swimming and I have very curly full braids on at the moment and it stayed in the cap the whole time and it didnt get wet at all. I even swam in the deep end several times and it stayed on. I recommend for black people with extensions or locs planning to go swimming.

It's very protective

Cogí este gorro porque tengo el pelo largo y me cuesta que quepa con comodidad en los gorros normales. Pero el gorro de talla XXL es demasiado grande para mi, es enorme. Me sobra muchísimo. Creo que es ideal para gente que tenga el pelo muy muy largo o para pelos afro largos. Aun teniendo tanto espacio dentro hay que recoger el pelo para poder colocarlo correctamente. Con el pelo suelto es complicadísimo colocárselo. En esto es igual que cualquier otro gorro de natación. Sin embargo tengo otro gorro de esta misma marca de talla XL que es mucho mejor de tamaño. Es casi para cualquier melena media. La calidad del gorro se ve excepcional. Es algo más gordo que los gorros normales y se ve muy resistente. El ajuste a la cabeza es perfecto, quedando las orejas tapadas y cubriendo totalmente el pelo tanto por la frente como por la parte de atrás. En estos momentos no he podido probarlo en la piscina porque estoy lesionada pero, viendo como ajusta el gorro, me da la sensación de que va a proteger bastante del agua y si entra, será poca. En cuanto comience de nuevo a nadar actualizaré mi reseña indicándolo. De momento le doy 5 estrellas porque me parece un gorro de muy buena calidad y protege mucho más que otros.
