Leather Travel Wallet Passport holder-Filgate Black

On the plus side, I like the leather used to make this, both its looks and its feel.The holder is quite heavy, not a plus or minus, just an observation.On the minus side, for me, this holder will not hold much. With just two slots for credit card sized items, it is not designed to carry a lot of stuff. The card slots are large enough for a card to slide in and out easily. When fully inserted, a little bit of the card pokes out at the top of the card slot (inside the case and not visible when case closed), so you can tell which card you are pulling out.The leather cord which wraps around the case does keep is closed. It has a knot at the end, so you just tuck the end under the cord and it keeps the case closed. It is easy to untuck and open the case.This is an attractive item. I simply deduct one star because I tend to carry a lot of stuff, and the spaces inside aren't very large. Leather does stretch with use, however. Plus, one could question the wisdom of carrying more than two credit cards with the passport; if you the case is lost or stolen, you would hope to have other cards elsewhere (plus a xerox of your passport stashed somewhere).

This is nice looking, has room for one, possibly two passport;, a couple of credit cards; a driver's license; some cash etc. It is made out of leather, although not a particularly high grade of leather.So then why only three stars? There are some problems. First, that odd strap closure thing. It would be so much more effective to have a simple snap or velcro closing rather than wrapping this strap around - quicker, more secure and better looking. Then there is what is lacking. There is no RFID blocking material in this holder. When I travel I worry about keeping my passport and credit cards secure and sadly this wallet does little to meet that goal. The cord closure makes putting this into a travel pouch, or an inside jacket pocket tricky and the lack of RFID blocking leaves my passport and credit cards vulnerable to scanners.There are many similar products available that are better designed, more secure and comparably priced. I will probably use this just to keep passports etc stored when I am at home.

The leather passport holder is a nice stylish way for me to keep my passport and cards organized when traveling. The leather will last so I can use this for years to come. The holder is sturdy so my passport doesn’t get bent. The wrap around leather strap bothers me a little functionally. I find it annoying to wrap/unwrap it around the holder about 3 times each time I open or close it. It can hold a few credit cards when traveling. Which is all I need since I’m not taking the entire contents of my wallet with me. I don’t think this is a feasible wallet outside of traveling. It has got some scuff marks on it. I’m not sure if it’s because the leather is matte or not treated in a certain way.

This passport holder is just that and not much else. The passport fits snugly in the pocket, and it does have two additional credit card sized pockets beneath the flap. The flap closes with a leather strap that wraps around the holder, as pictured, and then can be tucked under itself or through the loop. It is not the most secure apparatus for closing. The pocket itself provides some protection for the passport, but then it also needs securing in a bag itself. The holder barely has room for a folded airplane ticket or luggage receipt. But it does protect and hold the passport in a stylish manner. You would never be embarrassed pulling this out of your bag or pocket. The leather is soft and it seems to be quality.

Not 100% thrilled with this passport holder. I was so looking forward for something I could use for my September cruise. In reality, there is nothing really wrong with this. However, it does not meet my expectations. First, the leather is very hard (not like a soft plyable upscale leather would be). Second, there is no leather aroma/fragrance to it. I have to assume it's leather (as the ad says it is) but I would never be purchasing this if I knew what it was like. The inside is constructed well and there are places to put credit cards along with your passport. As of this writing there is no price listed for this passport holder (says currently unavailable). If it's cheap enough, it might be worthwhile getting. Otherwise, shop around a bit.

I was pleasantly surprised by how nice and substantial this leather passport holder is. I'm sure it's not the highest grade of leather, but it's pretty good for this purpose. I also like the two credit card slots inside. My only reservation about this holder is the odd closure strap. It's about 18 inches long and wraps around the empty holder twice before you have to decide what to do with the free end. Product photos show it tucked under itself, so I'll go with that. Even a velcro type closure would be more functional, I think. Maybe I'll get used to this and not mind it, but my initial reaction is that it's not a great design choice.

This Travel Passport wallet isn't made for how I use a daily wallet, the wrap around strap don't have a snap or anything to retain it in place. I keep my wallet in my pocket so having a loose wrap around strap don't work for my needs. The wallet is made from nicely finished leather and looks good, it has pockets for your license and credit cards.
