Leather Travel Wallet Passport holder-Filgate Natural

This is a leather case that is large enough to hold a passport or 2. Empty, the case weighs 2.5 oz and measures 6”x4.5”. The case is closed with a single long (20”) strap and is held closed by winding the strap around the case several times and tucking the knotted end in if you like. Inside the case, the main compartment is large enough to hold 1-2 passports and maybe a few bills or a folded boarding pass. There are 2 card pockets that can hold a driver’s license, credit cards, business cards or change (but note that change could fall out since the pockets do not have separate closures). The Filgate logo appears embossed on the front cover of the case. The product was made in China.When I carry my passport, I usually think about concealing and securing it due to pickpockets in airports and train stations. Thus, I usually carry my passport in a passport case that hangs around my neck or waist under my clothes. This is not that kind of case since it has no strap. Instead, this case is intended to be carried in a purse or backpack or briefcase. It is a convenient way to carry and protect a passport from damage in a purse or pack, but not secure enough for me. It’s an attractive piece and fine for everyday use, like if you need to carry your passport as proof of drinking age in an out-of-state bar. But I would go for something more secure for travel, especially when traveling in dicey areas.

Buttery color, leather passport holder is quite practical for travel. It measures:4.3* x 6 x 0.27 inches so perfect to tuck into a pocket, bag or purse when traveling so that your documents are handy. The outside is smooth leather with a stamped imprint of the brand (Filgate) and some other logo and info. The odd aspect is that the case closed by folding over the flap and then has a fairly long (maybe 20 inches) knotted string that loops around it several times and then it's tucked into itself to secure. That closure is what subtracted the stars on the rating.The pouch opens and the interior lining is unfinished, rough leather. There is a pocket for your passport and then two smaller pockets that are large enough for a driver's license and a credit card. You could possibly also put a couple of bills of cash in the larger pocket, but there's not a lot of room inside for more than that. Maybe even your boarding pass if you still print them out.It smells like leather and looks nice. I do think it would be improved by a better closure and perhaps some RFID blocking technology to make this the ultimate passport holder.

This is an interesting product. I like the color a lot, and the material has a quality feel to it. I especially like the stitching around the edges.What I don't like is the strap for closing. It feels like too much of a hassle. A button or magnetic closure would have been more convenient.

This is a nice little credit card and cash holder, but not a good passport wallet. It is way too insecure for that. I use it for quick shopping and library trips. The two slots work for my ID and credit card. My list and cash go in the larger pocket. My key ring gets tied to the leather strap. So, it's great for me for that purpose, but a passport holder it's not. The materials and workmanship are C+, not higher.

Pretty and Simple. Nice leather. It is not thick but still feels sturdy. I feel like this will look better as it ages. Fits passport snuggly and has two smaller pockets for id/cards/money. Nice travel accessory.

This passport holder is well-constructed, sturdy and will last for a very long time. Please be aware that this leather may be a stiffer than what you may be used it (not by much), but with time and use, it will soften up and patina beautifully. If you're not crazy about the light color, you could try tanning it in the sun for a while so it'll turn a lovely golden shade.

A much prettier way to carry your passport. Not a necessary item but one that makes me feel slightly fancier and more cosmopolitan as I sit in my lowly economy seat and dream of first class.
