Average to tall 7 year old - order medium (nice socks!)
I bought Medium for a just turned 7 year old who is average size (if not a bit tall, and thin). She liked these and they fit well.The cleaning instructions state to hand wash (sorry! no way) so I put inside a garment bag and tossed in the machine with the rest of the clothes, and then tossed the bag in the dryer (on low) and they were fine! We did a try-on before washing and after and if they shrunk at all we didn't notice. I'd buy the large if you have an exceptionally tall girl or just overall bigger for age 6/7...esp. if you decide to use the washer/dryer like me. These do have a seam, which is nicely sewn and doesn't bother my daughter as much as the ones we get at Target.

Very High Quality
These are really high-quality socks -- thick (but not too thick to fit in your usual-size of shoe), sturdy, soft, excellent fabric. They stay up but aren't too tight.
