great honest seller great results.
The seller is amazing. This is my first time buying from this seller. He walked me through the steps to have my first successful crop. Although this is not CERTIFIED, he uses organic practices. It took a total month for the kit to re-colonize in the bag it came in. He told me once I see the bumps forming on the top, wait one more week. The freshness is what makes the wait worth it. He guarantees success or replacement. I live in a dry climate so I add chopsticks and an extra bag of which I made holes in so the mushroom kit can breathe. I misted all the outside sides, not the block when it was ready to fruit I took the EXTRA bag I had on with the chopsticks off when I it started to fruit. He is my picture. I am going to try them as white vs waiting until they brown more. Then I wait a couple of weeks for the block to dry and redo for 2-3 more fruiting.

Finally Shiitake Success!
I have been struggling to grow shiitake in the past, I know this variety requires some patience and can take up to 3-4 months before it is done producing. I ordered my first Shiitake kit from a different vendor on Amazon about 4-5 months ago and ended up only getting a few mushrooms with very flat caps that really didn't even look like the shiitake I have seen. I wanted to try a different brand and saw this pop up on Amazon. I am about 6 weeks in and I just harvested my first batch, this kit produced much more than I would have expected! The mushrooms taste great! Probably the best I have had, they are very dense. I am working on my second batch now. I've read that I should submerge the block in cold water for 10-12 hours after a big harvest and I am going to try that and hope for another like the first one. This is a great kit for the money and their customer service is amazing. Definitely will be back!

Not a success
The directions suggested a few videos first, but the videos gave different directions than the leaflet. I got 2 mushrooms.

Fun project. Did get some delicious mushrooms. I wish it would have produced more. I will buy again in the spring.

Nice experiment but probably not to buy again
Could use better instructions. Mushrooms, by the time they were bigger, were really dried out & didn’t taste very good. I’m sure it was something we did - and we did follow the instructions provided - but how are we supposed to know what that was?
