Top tier oil
In my business of crafting cutting boards and wooden bowls, I’ve been using Walrus products for a while now and wanted to share my experience. Walrus truly stands out as a top-tier oil and wax product for wooden kitchenware. Not only is it food-safe, but it’s also incredibly durable—one application keeps your cutting board protected for an entire year. While it’s priced slightly higher than other brands, the quality more than justifies the cost. When you’ve invested so much time and effort into making a cutting board, the price difference per board becomes insignificant. If you’re looking for the best, I wholeheartedly recommend Walrus products.

Walrus Oil Finish
Just tried the product. So far very happy with the results. It was easy to apply and made the wood a very nice color.

My favorite to keep my wood cutting board looking new
Keeps my wood cutting block looking brand new.I use this twice a month on my wood cutting board. The cutting board soaks this up really well I use a decent amount and spread it out as evenly as possible and then let the board sit overnight. I then go over it and seal the oil in with a food safe made for cutting board wax.I kove how easy this is to apply. It has a thin consistency so it makes spreading it easy and the cutting board soaks it up easier so after letting it sit overnight the board is oiled well and dry enough to add a wax over top.Noticed my cutring board repels water for a lot longer with this oil on it.No smell that I've noticed, just a clean natural scent. Nothing over powering.Lasts a long time (have gone 2 months forgetting to oil my cutting board and this was still holding up and keeping the board looking new)I use this on some other wood kitchen bowls and serving trays and it really brought the wood back to life and made me less nervouse having to wash them since I know this oil is very protective.

Good Quaility
Made a difference in dried up cutting board and seems to be lasting. Actually did a 2nd coat a week later which has helped. The board was really dry. Looks much better.

High Quality
High quality product that is very easy to apply and looks great on all wood varieties. Very consistently absorbed for all types of wood used so far. Absorbed quickly and evenly with no speed, low odor and final finish looks great. would recommend.

saves your boards
If you love your cutting boards you will love this oil. Just use and after it has dried and cured put walrus oil wood wax on. This works great.

Oily and Great
This stuff is better than straight mineral oil. I was gifted a high end board and knifes, and after 2 coats, the board looks amazing and so far nothing as soaked into it that a little warm water and soap can't take care of. I'm thinking a coat every three months just to freshen it up and this bottle will last a year at least.

HUH, what? WOW!
I was SO tired of oiling my cutting board with Mineral Oil every week. "BOO" I needed a better solution. The overly-hyped Tung Oil seemed to be WORSE than mineral oil, and washed out after a single use.Out of desperation I decided to apply Walrus Oil.During application, I could tell there was something very different about this oil.As I rubbed the Walrus Oil on the surface of cutting board, it seemed to immediately soak in, and turn the cutting board back to its deep dark color. The color was deep, dark and even.HUH, what? WOW! I was very surprised, and hopefully skeptical about what I was seeing.I applied a bit more Walrus Oil (since that was always necessary using mineral or tung oil), and allowed it to soak in for 24 hours. After 24 hours, there was no change. The Walrus Oil had completely soaked in without any dry spots, and the color was still deep, dark and even.So I decided to wash my cutting board using cutting board cleaner (ASIN - B076SY2CVW).I was VERY pleased to see the Walrus Oil stayed in place. I could see a very light sheen on the rinse water, but the color of the cutting board remained dark and even.It has been 1 week since I applied the Walrus Oil. After multiple washings per day, I am very happy to see the Walrus Oil is still going strong. It is holding up better than ANYTHING else I have tried.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
