Innovative Sugarworks Small Cake Porter with Insulated Cover and Cake Carrier, 14" x 14" x 16", White

I have used this carrier on a couple of occasions now to deliver large 3 tier wedding cakes - fully stacked and they have arrived in perfect condition, still nicely chilled- easy to carry and fits perfectly in my car too!

It works great!! I had a 45 minute drive in 98° southern hot weather...I combined it with my slim ice packs on the sides and top. The cake was still chilled. Only problem I had was the lock on the front. It touched the cake a little bit, but with the design I just 'marbled' it in. (9" & 12"cakes)

I have two cake carriers, one normal-sized hard plastic carrier and one tall hard plastic carrier. Even the tall one is unable to accommodate a three layer 6" cake without squishing the buttercream border on top (ugh, all of that work and attention to detail ruined). On one hand I didn't need a professional heavy-duty carrier, on the other hand I also am not a fan of using and then discarding tall cardboard boxes over and over again (waste + cost = not efficient). Then I came across this!I love the fact that I can replace then inside if and when needed-- hopefully that time will be far down the road. I also like the fact that it is large enough to accommodate a tiered cake, but not too cumbersome and heavy. I am the go-to person for cakes at work (work anniversaries, birthdays, etc.) so this requires transport in a car AND on public transportation, which means ease is a huge point for me. So far I've been immensely happy with the cake porter!I will admit-- setup is a bit intimidating (I was terrified of breaking it-- it isn't cheap). I went onto their website and watched the video just to make sure I was going about it correctly. If you watch the video, it gives you a sense of comfort and an idea of how to start and what it should look like. Within 5-7 minutes I was done and the porter was ready. My tip here would be to fold all of the pieces that need folding well and before you start so it isn't too wonky when it's fully setup.
