My pick for a harness
I foster dogs and this is my go to harness for them. I love the handle on the back, and the ease of putting the harness on and off the dogs. They quickly learn that putting their head in the harness means a walk, and who doesn't like that? I recommend this harness to the adopters as well and demonstrate how easy it is to put on and take off. I have never had a dog escape and I have worked with a variety of hair lengths and slickness. Once the adjustments have been made for belly and neck, I have never had them loosen up. I also like the fact that there isn't cloth on the belly that will drag in mud and snow. I just ordered a new size to cover what ever size dog comes my way, but my original is 3 years old and still going strong. I work with dogs under 40 pounds but some of them are pretty hard pullers and haven't been trained at all. This harness allows me to work with them and discourages the pulling. They can't really put their shoulders into the pull. Give it a try, you will be pleased

Escape proof lifesaver for my dog
I have a rottie mix. It's hard to tell by the photo, but she is a big dog, around 75 pounds. We got her when she was four and quickly learned that our otherwise well-behaved, good listener, has a fear of trucks and bikes...to the point that I was not even able to walk her during the daylight hours for fear she would drag me with her down the street while she went chasing after a truck.Fast forward to last week. She and I were out in the front yard while I did some chores. I had her tethered to a rail in her usual collar. UPS truck (her arch nemesis) just so happens to turn the corner onto our street, and she begins her usual hysterical barkety bark. I don't think much of it because she is safely secured, right? Nope. She slipped her collar and I watched in horror as she barreled towards the truck. It was only because I was shrieking like a banshee (as she ran towards the street where she would have emerged between two parked cars) that the driver stopped just as she was running UNDER the truck.I came in the house and Googled "best escape proof harness." This product was first on the review list. I ordered immediately. It was available for next day delivery, and it did arrive on time. The photo included is five minutes after the package arrived where I had put it on her right out of the package. Oddly enough, it was a perfect fit (it is adjustable though.) As you can see by her smile, she liked it, and the second I put it on her, she was like "okay, where are we going, mom?"So, for the week that we have had this wonderful harness, I am not overstating it when I say it was a game changer for us. I can take her for walks, and we even encountered trucks and bikes, and while she still barks, I am not afraid she is going to escape and bolt, dislocate my arm, etc. It is very secure. She pulls way less, and I am confident that she is not getting out. She is comfortable, happy, and I feel like she is safe.Seriously, thank you for this product. I can walk my dog again and have her out and about with me without being relegated to the wee hours of the night.

Lasts about a year/bought again
My husky seems pretty comfortable in this harness. I used to have one that clasped at the chest and she hated it. So this one that clasps at the body I think is better. I saw that it was starting to rip at the seams and saw I had bought this harness May 2018. So I bought it again cause I really like it. It’s shelf life is about a year if you walk your pup everyday. Always keep in min d that a harness is not replacement for good dog training. At the end of the day, they are dogs, and they will chase prey, but at least we can minimize this with a lot of training and high reward treats. Given that I bought this harness again shows my pup and I really like it. My pup is a full size husky and the X-large fits her perfect.

Oscar LOVES this harness!
This is the third type of harness I've purchased for our standard size dachshund, and it is the ONLY one that has worked for Oscar so far. He weighs about 20 lbs (but it feels like 50 if he's stubborn and doesn't want to go where I am heading!) He has easily been able to escape from the other harnesses I've purchased by backing out of them. I searched for a long time before choosing this Cosy Meadow harness, and I am so glad I did!!! Oscar LOVES this harness, and he has never tried to escape from it!!! (I'm still shocked about this!) It's sturdy, and it must be more comfy than other harnesses he's worn. I like that this harness doesn't go between his legs, as that was a feature that he struggled with on other harnesses. He would maneuver his short front legs through to the opposite the leg hole, and then he would easily slip out of the other brands of harness. I like that this harness doesn't have to go over his head, since it has two buckles. Oscar has been eager to go on walks or on trips in the car, and that has never happened before. He's even better behaved (and less stubborn) on his leash!!! (Who even thought that was possible, because, after all he IS a dachshund!!!) I also loved the freebie car seat buckle. I hadn't used one before, and I feel that he is SO much safer when we are in the car. GREAT product! I would wholeheartedly recommend it for dachshunds!!! (I chose a different harness for our new mini doxie puppy, because this harness isn't offered in a small enough size for our 3 lb. baby, but when he gets bigger, I'll be ordering this harness again!)
