Live Freshwater Aquarium Fish - 1" Fahaka Puffer - Great for Aquariums - Populate Your Tank!

For years i have been looking for a Fahaka or Mubu puffer. I have never seen this type of fish in my local fish stores and never trusted ordering live fish online. During the pandemic something in me wanted this puffer fish even more. For the past year every online store has been sold out and the puffers the same size are 3 to 4 times the price. Honestly, i was worried about ordering a 25$ fish when i have seen them for way more expensive on other sites (sold out). Placed an order for two Fahaka puffers on April 21 2021 and they arrived April 23 2021. They arrived alive and alert but really skinny. I followed the instructions that were provided and put them into a quarantine tank right away, gave them 10 min to settle in and fed them live blood worms. Both of them ate right away! Very aggressive and motivated to eat. Very happy with this purchase. Its only been a couple of hours since i have made this post but i know these guys will survive.

Overall the fish is actually really neat and interesting to watch, eats well etc. However, one of the fins is significantly smaller. It doesn’t look damaged it just looks deformed. The tail also looks deformed. I tried to contact the seller and initially they wrote back asking to see but then never responded back. These fish are a little hard to find so it may be worth it to just give it a try but at almost $50 for a 1 inch fish I’d expect better quality control.

I'm a long time fishkeeper that got of the hobby for a while. Decided to make my dive back in, with this little guy. I can't find them locally, so I ordered him. I was nervous about having a $25 fish shipped. I'm glad I did. He arrived alive and in decent shape. I've had him for about a month, and he is healthy and growing. I named mine Ramses. Will be purchasing from them again when I need to order him food. He's bloated in the pic because he just had dinner.

Died overnight after receiving all other fish in my tank are fine. Bag was almost empty when receiving. Will just fo local next time.

Puffer arrived within 3 days of ordering alive and ready. Chewing on blood worms and starting to explore. Came in less than an 1” so we’ll be watching the growth as anyone would want to.
