Tuya ZigBee 3.0 RGBW 3.5 inch Recessed Retrofit Downlight 12W LED Dimmable Fixture Ceiling Light,Alexa Echo PlusHome Automation/Tuya app control via Tuya Zigbee Hub

I order one of these as a test. I want to install these under by front soffit outside. They are very bright and the only color changing ones I've found that do not require a can to install them in. They work with the Hue hub and Alexa. I just haven't figured out how to install them up to code. The control block has terminal for a cord and I want to install them permanently without a cord. I need some kind of electrical box? As soon as I find out, I'll get more and have color changing light all across the front of my house!

I installed these lights over the Christmas vacation and was blown away at how bright they are. Plus, with each light having its own interface, they can be individually controlled to create custom scenes. Setup and configuration with Hue bridge using ZigBee protocol was quick and easy. Occasionally one or two of the lights will not come on at the scheduled time, which I believe is due the distance between the lights and the hub. I plan on installing a repeater on the second floor to help boost the signal but, overall, I'm very happy with the product. One recommendation I would have for the vendor is to offer a Z-Wave option as well.08/04/21 Update: All of the lights installed in the eaves of my house are still going strong. My wife loves to create different scenes for each of the holidays and, with the Hue app, we can automate when the come on, turn off, or transition based on a schedule.I was so happy with how well these lights performed, I purchased four more and installed them in my office which I assume was the "formal living room" of the house originally. The room did not have any lights at all when we moved in so I've always had a couple of lamps. Lamps are no longer needed, so I can reclaim that floor space and real-estate on my desk. I have plans to install more of these lights in the eaves down either side of my house and along the back. At that point, I can get rid of my current low voltage DC landscape lighting and the giant transformer hanging off the side of my house.

I purchased two of these downlights just over a year ago, and they have both died in a similar odd manner. They lost the ability to fully turn off.At the end of their lives as they were slowly dying, you could notice a faint blue light coming from the fixture, even when it claimed to be turned off. This was only noticeable in a completely dark room, but after a few days, it kept getting a little brighter. Eventually, I had to fully disconnect the light in order to turn it off.

I used these lights in several areas of my yacht they are amazing! They are very bright and they work with Phillips Hugh exceeded my expectations I’ve been using them for over a year now and I’ve had no problems!

The media could not be loaded.  I got into the whole home automation thing this year when i purchased an Echo dot that came with a Philips hue hub along with some Philip hue color bulbs. If you're into the Rgb color light bulb scene. You should know the Philip Hue lights are a bit pricey.This downlight is a good cheap alternative. That has a slight disadvantage working with the hub then using a Philips hue branded product. The disadvantage might not even bother you or effect you.If you use Hue sync, which is an application that creates a lightscripts for your lights based on content you watch or play on your PC or Mac. That doesn't work for me yet! Although the Scenes from the formula's and the ones I created work flawlessly.I also noticed the colors are a tad bit lighter or brighter in some cases, but it's not enough to notice if the lights aren't back to back with the same color. If you use Nitelight mode with a 1% brightness this light won't turn on unless you're at 2% brightness.This light will work great as a downlight with simple installation. I don't have any use for a downlight at the moment, but I do like to splash the wall with color for the scenes i created.I use this light as a floor lamp. You can leave this light as it is and use it like a Philips hue Bloom. It doesn't get hot enough to burn or melt anything. What i did to make it a floor light was purchased a white lamp cord. Then i got an 11oz plastic Folgers coffee can. Cut out the dip in the top of the can (perfect for this light) painted the can white and tuck this floor light into a corner of my living room to splash a little color on my wall.I think it's a great value and gives a different look then just having the basic Philips hue color light bulbs.

So, I bought 4 of these because of the Zigbee compatibility because I have an Echo Plus and and Echo Show (2nd gen) both of which have a Zigbee hub built in.When you first power these lights up it is very easy to use the Alexa app (if you have an Echo device with Zigbee hub) and discover them as new devices. After that you can group them and include them in routines as you see fit.Couldn't be any easier! :)

I use my own zigbee mqtt broker to control the light. Initial pairing was not an issue and so i installed the light. Now I need to replace some things so I have to re-pair all of my devices. I look everywhere but apparently the only to factory reset this light is to have physical access to a reset button on the controller, which is in my attic... If no support for reset from switch, this is a terrible purchase for any other DIY'ers out there.

The media could not be loaded.  Worked with HUE (North America). Most cost effective way to get smart color lights in a recessed light. Works well with HUE app recipes in Hue Labs did not work.Was thinking to use thinking of using them in my media room to synchronize with any movie. Will experiment with that some other day.I wanted to be lazy and be ready for any holiday any time use the App and you get any color you want.

Al pasar cierto tiempo se ponen fuera de línea. Me ha pasado con 4 durante un año. Encima le doy al reset y no pasa nada… solo bajando los plomos de la casa consigo q respondan, para luego perder de nuevo la conexión

der licht ist super hell es passt sehr gut in der decke auch. wird nicht heiß nach lange betrieb. muss ich sagen dass mit dem Zigbee protokol es lässt sich sehr schnel zum netzwerk binden und nach dem strom ausfall es bleibt alle settings so wie eingestellt war.

Es sollte in die Beschreibung wo der Resetbutton sich befindet! Ansonsten alles problemlos ein zu richten!

Die Lampe reagiert nun nicht mehr!Beim Ausbau zur Überprüfung ist eine Spannfeder auch kaputt gegangen.Dazu kommt nun noch der schlechte Service von Amazon. Eine direkte Ersatzlieferung ist nicht möglich,ich muss neu bestellen. Jetzt ist die Lampe, trotz Steuersenkung, teurer! Ganz schlecht!!!
