Very pleasant first puerh experience!
This is my first Puerh experience, so I'm not even sure I brewed it right. I did the rinse, brewed close to recommended times, used 6.5g of leaf, and let me say, I think that apart from some aged/legacy craft oolongs I've had, this is my favorite tea. It makes me excited to know I've got so much of it, and even more excited that it's not a "fancy" or "expensive" puerh, so that if I decide to step up to finer versions, it'll probably be worth it.As described, the aroma is lively and very noticeable. Smells and tastes like apples/pears, almost a slight carrot/celery taste. It's a lot of what I like about a nice green tea, with less bitterness, a little less vegetable/grass flavor, more fruit and "juice" flavors and very very easy on the tongue. I'm totally in love with this and my wife is going to be very irritated by yet another pricey habit.Don't hesitate to buy it and try it out.

Outstanding Pu-erh for the Tea Purist
The second and third infusions of this tea were suburb. The aroma was fresh and grassy, much like a typical green tea, yet the flavor was smooth, bright, and buttery with no hint of bitterness or astringency. The tea cake itself was under weight @ 340g, and the pressing was rather loose instead of tightly packed, yet the favor and aroma of the tea were so spot on that I'm not docking a star. Very pleased with this pu-erh. Absolutely delightful brew. Highly recommend.

Nice flavor. Nicely packaged.
Since this is my first raw pu erh tea I am not sure what to compare it to. I like the flavor and the cake was nicely wrapped and packaged. I did 5 brews today and all were very smooth with a hint of pear. Tonight I made a brew from the same leaves and it was very smooth and flavorable also.

extremely surprised by this cake!
im very surprised by this tea. a lot of minerality, very fruity more than other yiwu teas ive had, moderate bitterness that turns to sweetness, though not quite as fruity as their "melody of yiwu mountain" and "yizi fair"(both discontinued). for it coming from amazon id give this a 7/10 if it were from some bigger named company id give it 5-6/100. its not like your 80 dollar aged cakes which would be good for celebrations and special moments but this would make an excellent daily drinker

Rip off. No Star.
This is NOT a Pu-erh Tea. This is a GREEN TEA!!! Do not buy if you are expecting real Pu-erh Tea. The smell, looks and taste, all indicate a GREEN TEA. I don't like to waste foods, but I have to throw this away due to NO RETURN. I am so disappointed this tea and this shop. Please fix inaccurate product's name. It should be GREEN TEA!

fairly dense tea cake
No need to overuse tea to achieve a nice dark brew. Very balanced puerh, no off odor or taste.Smooth and mild but characteristic color and odor of ripe puerh is distinctly present. Slightly less robust than pricier cakes but the best cake at this price point I have experienced in 15 years of puerh sipping. I am commenting on a ripe puerh here and not the green that was in same order. The reviews are switched, sorry! The green has fabulous green pungency with large leaves and good for two infusions.

Good and light
I found the taste of this tea fresh and light without any hint of bitterness. I'd prefer a stronger raw pu-erh taste.

Soft, not too astringent, very long-ilingering aftertaste. Dont burn with rolling boil water - let is cool a tiny bit..
Absolutely wonderful tea. I like sheng (生- green, slowly fermented) puers and this one is a perfect example of such. It could be drunk right away or put aside to mature further. Well packaged, fast shipping. This one helped me to go through a very nerve-wrecking two weeks of preparing for my wife retirement, which was brutal... Teas generally are not made to calm nerves, but this one does - I guess by its fresh balance and fine long lingering notes...
