Why Write When You Can Tag: Second Edition: Learn To Draw The Best Graffiti Tags Ever!

I bought this for my cousin's kid. He loves it. Great beginning graff book for kids. If only there was a documentary that sheds some light on the history of graffiti culture so that the youth can learn that graffiti is not just some wack trend that was commodified and sold to the masses... Oh yeah, there is (see: Style Wars).

I like this book alot, it's easy to understand and reinterpret. But what I didn't like was the shipping. I bought this book brand new and the cover was slightly bent. To me that's frustrating. And really poor shipping.

I used to live near the largest legal wall to paint on publicly in the southern US. So lots of paint was spilled but as I grew older I put certain activities down...I wish I hadn't. I was lookin for some inspiration and definitely found it within these pages. As a kid, I practiced calligraphy so I've got a certain style that's hard to break out of. I was able to check out some different handstyles and practice with helpful tips. I could see this book helpin build confidence in someone just starting out. There is plenty of knowledge being passed along here that an old fart like myself had to piecemeal together from friends and artists passing through. It was so nice havin such a huge space to safely and legally produce outside art, but I wish I had come across info like this as well back then...granted this old dawg is pickin up some new tricks. I grabbed several of the books produced by graffiti diplomacy. Each are more than worth the money paid.
