Key SD Memory Card Stick Converter Adapter for Nintendo Gamecube NGC Wii Video Games

For the negative reviews who think this is to save games, it's not, this is an SD Gecko used for very specific purposes on the Gamecube/Wii, and for that purpose it's working wonderfully with Swiss booted on it through my copy of 007 since I lack an SP2 port on my DOL-101For people that want to be able to have actual SAVE GAMES, those don't exist quite yet however someone is working on that, if you need an SD Gecko this is for you, if you need a big memory card look elsewhere.

It works exactly as intended, it didn't require any setting up other than the SD card. This product does work with Micro-SD Adapters!

Was just what I needed. I ordered a different and more Action Replay disc kit that came with an SD media launcher that required a non-sdhc micro sd card. I had a hard time finding one and when I eventually did and inserted it into the launcher, it broke soon afterward. There was a small piece that broke and made it difficult to keep the micro as card in place. I ordered this as a replacement and because I had a older regular sized non- sdhc card that I could use with it. It works perfectly with the action replay disc that I purchased which allows me to get better picture quality than using the stock software for the Gameboy player.

So I bought this after I found out that my DOL-001 model NTSC-J gameCube doesnt have the serial port 2 for an SD2SP2. Paired with a Sandisk Extreme SD card I am able to play game ISOs directly through it without any stuttering or issues. Worked with my homebrewed GC with PicoBoot.

Purchased adapter, 2GB Transcend SD card, and Action Replay here on Amazon. I was unable to encourage a GameCube DOL-001 to recognize this SD card adapter as valid. It was attempted with the SD card formatted FAT16 then FAT32 and with each of a half a dozen plausible sets of directories and files on the SD card. It didn’t matter if the BIOS was Nintendo or Qoob Pro 1.3c or NCOS with Swiss. The GameCube’s optical drive dies every few years and the quality of the supply of repair parts gets worse and worse. I was hoping for a way to keep it going while I waited for a second round of drive parts. It’s tempting to believe that everything I’ve read was simply misleading information intended to sell obsolete merchandise, but there’s so much out there that it seems more likely the supply of SD card adapters is as hit-and-miss as the supply of drive parts.
