ParaNorman 3D / Coraline 3D [Blu-ray]

Would pay almost the same amount for Coraline so this is a bonus

A wonderful set of films, and I was thrilled to see that they still had their extras on the discs despite being packaged together. With all the bonus content and both films in 3D and 2D, this is an absolute steal.At odds with some of the other reviewers, I definitely didn't have any trouble with the 3D experience of Coraline. It may not pop as aggressively as some films, but I was never in doubt that what I was watching was a film in 3D.(That said, I also bought the old version of Coraline 3D with those awful schlock-horror 3D glasses, so anything in Active 3D really looks a lot better after that!)

Two fantastic animated fantasy movies in one set. This set would've gotten 5 stars, but Coraline had some issues with 3D imaging which could be distracting at times. Overall, both movies were very entertaining in their own style and will bear multiple viewings down the track.

Both Coraline and ParaNorman are very creative movies and distinctly different from the average product you get from Dreamworks etc both in style and substance, though admittedly they are not suitable for the youngest children.This pack contains 2 discs, each featuring 2D and 3D versions of the particular movie, so it's 'future-proof' in case you don't have 3D-capable equipment now.3D presentation of both movies is among the best at the moment.You also get roughly 1h of bonus materials for each movie.Both discs are region-free.A terrific value at this price.

Very well-written stories both. Paranorman maybe slipped under the radar, missing the plaudits that Coraline received, and so I found it more by accident. Truly excellent and really quite original.Be aware, these films are for slightly older children who can cope with more grown up themes (child deaths etc) and images (zombies, button-eyed monsters). It would be worth watching first.Still, very highly recommended as they are intelligent, perceptive films that don't lower themselves to blindly flatter children in the way that most kids films do.

Originally bought Coraline which came with the 3D blue/red glasses and wasn't sure if this version had been updated to work with a 3D tv and passive glasses. It does. As ParaNorman and Coraline double pack was only a few pence more than buying ParaNorman on its own it was a bargain. Both good storys, good 3D effects and any kid up to the age of 100+ should love them.

It probably would cost you more to buy one of these movies in 3D Blu-ray than this set costs, heck, even if you don't have a 3D Blu-ray player it would probably still be cheaper to buy these 2 amazing movies this way, as it contains the 2D versions as well
