The media could not be loaded.  My kids love watching YouTube Videos, and they always want to be a "YouTuber". They have many ideas and want to show but I am tired of holding my cell phone and shooting them with my shaky hands. So I was looking for a camcorder which is inexpensive for casual use. I saw the flip around display and the external microphone in this item, so I gave it a shot.This cam come with many accessories. There is a camcorder, of course, battery, external microphone, remote controller, lens cover, charging cable and It also come with a HDMI cable, which you can connect it to the TV or most monitor nowadays. There are also 2 paper manual booklets, one for the camcorder itself and one for the external microphone. I would say both of the manuals are not that thoughtfully written, but the camcorder operation is pretty straight forward though. There are not too much setting, however they have not missed the white balance, resolution, exposure and also including the Image Stabilizing (anti-shake they called it) option.I did not film my kids YouTube videos yet, since I am still waiting for the tripod to come. However I did try out this camcorder. I will say it is pretty amazing and better than what I have expected. It's video quality is better than my other sports camera. And the following is the Pros and Cons in my opinion.Pro:-Video quality is good, and acceptable under low light-External microphone looks great and works great-Reversible monitor is great especially shooting YouTube videos-Including the HDMI cable is a plus-Photo mode can shoot up to 24MP-The remote controller comes handy when shooting yourself-Light weight, and easy to carry aroundCon:-The touchscreen is not very responsive-Almost no build-in effect, only b&w and sepia mode-No dedicated photo shutter button-Only digital zoom-LED light in the front is basically uselessBottom line:It is a good camcorder, I believe me and my kids will enjoy it's service for a while ( until we turn Pro YouTuber, :-) ). It seems that it have all the function we need for basic video recording. For this price, we are not too concern about the advance feature I mention in the cons. I will recommend this product to any amateur YouTuber.Tips: TURN OFF the date stamp when you first start your camcorder, it was set as default and the date/time is not removable. Once it was turned off, you are all set to go.

(Update)Seller is refunding me $30 because the mic won't work. They are very responsive. I recommend buying from them. :)......This is a great little camera, especially for the price. However, like a lot of other people, my external mic will not work, and I suspect it's because the battery arrived dead. I have yet to purchase another one. The internal microphone on the camera does work, so I'm still able to use the camera. However, it was a real let down, because I was excited to elevate the sound quality with the extra mic it came with.

For the money, this little camera really does a nice job! Picture quality is very good...crisp and clear. Sound quality is good for the most part...I did notice the wind can cause some noise outdoors. The biggest downside is the zoom...it’s jerky and a bit pixelated when zooming, but otherwise, this is a great little camera for basic recording. The battery lasts quite a long time, and I was able to get over 2 hours of crystal clear video on a single 32GB memory card. A good little camera for the money!

Very disappointing. Filmed several tutorials only to realize the sound doesn't work. Mic is completely non-functioning and when you take that off and use it without, there's a consistent ringing that makes it unwatchable. Cheaply made and buttons are flimsy. NOT WORTH THE PRICE. Very disappointed for my wasted time and money.

Great for the price. Not a professional tool, but good enough for home and my YouTube channel.

I have been using this camera close to a year and I use it in a shop setting where it has been dropped and not been in a great environment and its held up really well. The picture quality is decent for this level of camera but the sound can be spotty on some clips its too loud and others the volume is too low but overall its a great camera for the money. Only thing I dont like about the design is the door for the SD card is right by the tripod mount so you have to take the mount off every time you want to remove the sd card which is dumb. Battery life seems decent but its degrading as time goes on, but overall good value and quality.

This is SOO worth the money. The mic works really well and you can even take it off and use it with other cameras. It is a perfect vlog Camera which is what I will be using it for. When you first turn it on, it looks as though the quality or resolution is kind of low, BUT after you take the video and import it to your computer or wherever, the quality is so good!!!

Camera seemed to have decent picture quality but the microphone attachment did not work. I put in the battery and the light went on only for an instant and went off. Disappointed and hesitant to try a replacement.
