Great Dot-To-Dot Book
I ordered the set of 4 books on Wednesday and I am half way through book on by Thursday.I have always loved dot-to-dot books and I am glad that they have them that are more complex for adults. As you go through the book the puzzles get larger. Also there is a variety of puzzles so you do not get bored with them. The numbers are small in this book so I bought a magnigying glass to help with that. It works fine and does not slow me down. The book has some basic instructions in the beginning of the book. One of them is to follow the nubers in order so the picture comes out. It also tells you how to draw long lines between numbers. I just thought anyone who is into dot-to-dots is familiar with following the numbers in the proper sequence. I may be wrong on this point. But all-in-all the books are fun and some of the puzzles may be a little challanging but not too much. I bought books 1-4 and saw that there are books 5-7. They are now on my wish list to buy a little later.

lives up to its title
This is a surprisingly fun book. I was curious but mildly skeptical after reading the description and reviews here, but find that the puzzles are rewarding. In addition to challenging examples of the conventional connect-the-dot method, author David Kalvitis introduces creative variations called Sets, Stars, Field of Dots, Odd/Even and No Dots! Sound intriguing? That essentially captures the spirit of this tantalizing set of pictures waiting to be liberated from obscurity by your earnest efforts on their behalf! It really is fun to see what's hidden there among those dots. Kalvitis also gives some information about the origins of the form and getting the best results. If you're at all interested in this puzzle form, and want to exercise your left and right brain simultaneously, you will enjoy this fun book.Note that even the simplest puzzle contains 49 dots and most contain many more, so this is too difficult for little kids but a very nice choice for those who are beginning to outgrow their lower-level puzzles or the child who enjoys/needs practice with fine motor skills or has some interest in art. Also for puzzle-loving adults. Nicely done.

Dot's Entertainment!
I never outgrew my love of doing dot-to-dot puzzles, but I did outgrow the simple dot-to-dot books which are aimed at young children and seemingly were the only ones being made. So it was with great excitement that I came across David Kalvitis's excellent book on Amazon. This is what I have long been hoping to find: a dot-to-dot book that is actually enjoyable (and challenging) for adults! The puzzles in this book, unlike the kiddie dot-to-dot puzzles of the past, have several adult-worthy features:1.) The solution to most of the puzzles isn't immediately obvious. You won't be connecting 25 dots to complete a kite or a ball in this book! Instead, puzzles can include 200 to 300 (or more!) dots, in which many have to be connected in order to reveal what the final image might be.2.) The act of simply connecting the dots is often a challenge! Many dots are spaced far apart and require long, straight lines zigzagging all around the page, which isn't as easy as it might seem. Your arm will get tired, but you will also get a nice sense of satisfaction after completing the more elaborate puzzles.3.) Kalvitis includes several variations, including puzzles where you must connect several subsets of dots, puzzles where you start and stop your line, "fields of dots," and even dotless puzzles. This prevents monotony from ever setting in (along with the variety in the pictures themselves).Older children would probably enjoy this book too, but the difficulty level would most likely frustrate younger kids. That's OK though... as I've already noted, there are plenty of simple dot-to-dot books already available for them. For everyone else, I highly recommend this one!

Great book for my kid.
I got this for my 11 year old kid that doesn't like anything that involves a pencil and paper. We started off looking for dot-to-dots that I could print off the computer, apparently they were too easy for him. He said that he wanted dot-to-dots that he didn't know what the pictures were until he was done. We found this gem of a dot-to-dot book and decided to give it a try. It doesn't cost too much, so I figured if he didn't like it, no biggie. HE LOVES this book and after 3 days he's completed almost all the dot-to-dots. The great thing about this book is, it requires him to read the directions and to work slowly! We are off to buy book #2

Great for Seniors!
I purchase dot-to-dot books for my 85-year-old Mom. She especially enjoyed this book because of the challenging designs. Takes her a bit longer to work these, but that is part of the joy! Keeps her busy and entertained.

Nice range of difficulty
Something for everyone, from simple to fairly complex.

Product seems great and challenging, BUT they shipped it poorly by not indicating that it should not be bent.
The book I am sure will be fun for my child, BUT they shipped it in a manilla shipping envelope which was then folded in half to shove in my mail box because there was no indication to 'not bend' the package. This resulted in a badly creased binding that I have yet to be able to flatten out. I expect we will have to cut out the pages as he wants them to make it doable.

We love this book!
My 6 year old son loves dot to dots and had asked specifically for a dot to dot book for Christmas. So I purchased this one - I was not sure if it would be appropriate for his age level or not, but I thought I would give it a try.As it turned out, this book was just perfect. (For the sake of clarity--my son turns 7 a few days after Christmas, and he is very bright). He can do almost all of the dot to dots without any help. A few of the more complicated ones he asked me to do, and we enjoyed watching the pictures appear.I think this book would be fun for puzzle lovers of all ages - from age 6 and up. We will definitely be getting more books in this series, because my son will have used up all the puzzles in this book in no time.

Just brilliant as a classroom resource.
These dot to dot books are a perfect resource for the classroom. They make a great "morning work" task (though make sure you look at the copywright advice for teachers on the author's website)which the children can get on with independently whilst you collect dinner money, make the register, look for lost shoes, calm late arrivals, sharpen pencils, set up lessons, count packed lunches, talk to parents, collect permission slips, and do all those other teacher jobs. These puzzles develop fine motor skills and place-value knowledge and are challenging and enjoyable. And when the children aren't looking I do them too.

Dot to Dot for big kids!
Actually bought this for my eldest son (14) because I was buying some others for my youngest. Its of a nice quality with thick paper so you cant see the picture from the other side. The numbers are VERY close together and some go up to approx 200 dots. Excellent for older kids or Adults who want to revisit a bit of their youth! 48 pages of fun. If you wear glasses for reading, you're going to need them to complete these!
