Not sure if the one I got was defective, but it would read the fingerprint fine but not open always open. The blue light saying the print was read successfully but the latch wouldn't unlock. Only fix was to wiggle the latch and try again. After maybe 5 or 6 tries it would finally work. I was going to travel with this but last thing I want is to be locked out with no way to open it. Quality was disappointing as well. Latch seemed very thin and flimsy. A strong pry with a screwdriver would probably pop it open.

We have to keep re-setting it. It doesn't work correctly.
