Rubber Shirt Stays Work Better
I purchased this unit along with a rubber shirt stay and wore them each for one day. I am a "teddy bear" of a man, having a 42" waste and 30" outseam - so think big boned, husky, or portly. I usually wear business attire and tested this unit while wearing a suit on a business trip. The bottom line is the unit did not perform.Pros:Did not set off airport security metal detectors (as advertised)LightEasy to useNOTE: I'm not sure how other reviewers had problems with the use of it. Even with business attire using a restroom you simply loosen it up, raise it up, and you are ready to go. The velcro aspect was not a problem.Cons:Did not keep the shirt down. As I went throughout the day I had to re-adjust it several times. To me, this is a deal-breaker because this is what the product is supposed to do.In comparison I used a rubber belt shirt stay which worked flawlessly. It was a tad more bulky but kept my shirt in place for an entire work day without adjustment.

Lasts long, quality item .holds shirts in place
I purchase one of these systems approximately one year ago. I work a minimum of 14 days a month with frequent overtime. I wear the belt system with an under shirt under my unfiform shirt. This shirt stay has been the best shirt stay I've worn. I am approximately 180 lbs and have a 30 to 32 inch waist. The belt always keeps my uniform shirt tucked in and tight. It works for polo shirts too. It is not a recommendation for wicking type of shirts as the belt sticks to the shirt more and is hard to adjust . I have not found the belt to damage my dress shirts nor my work shirts other than slight pilling over many many uses. This is by far the best belt for me. I have pictured the replacement belt along side of the old belt. You will notice that after some time the belt will begin to curl and it does start to annoy your skin. This is the only reason I replaced it. It never failed or ripped even after my dog chewed on it for a few minutes . A+ for me. The only thing I would like to see is a 1.5 inch that is for smaller waists. I had a 1 inch belt from this company 2 years ago but it curled fast and became to annoying to use.

Not for me
I returned the item as it wasn't right for me. It is like super sticky velco and caused pilling of my shirt the first time I tried it. Difficult to get your shirt tucked correctly and then tightened around my waist. It was visible under my pants and crackled when I sat down to see my patients. Sounded like I was wearing diapers. Good idea, just not a good product for me.

Tore My Shirt and Pants!
I am a Sheriff Officer. I had purchased this item for my brand new uniforms, that I had just had changed out. These shirts are very expensive and are specially made, for my line of work. Just after only using this item for five days, I had noticed that my new shirt is now very badly frayed and the fabric is just hanging like a cat clawed it. The inside of my new pants, are in the exact same shape! This belt stick to any type of fabric just like super velcro. It makes it extremely difficult to adjust your shirt and pants, once it clings to the fabric. I do not recommend this item. This is the first time I have ever given this bad of a rating to any item I have ever purchased. And now I am told that I have to pay the S/H to send back this defective item! Sheesh!!

Keeps my shirt tail where it's supposed to be!
How many years back. Somehow I lost it. Now I bought this new one and I love it just as much as the old one. Keeps my shirt tail down my shirt tucked and looking neat all the way through my shift. Way better than the rubber belt that some people use. If you put it low enough it doesn't ride up at least that's the way it works for me.Put this on your shirt before putting your pants on or pulling them up for best fit.

Works great with polo shirts, decent with other fabrics
I hate having my uniform shirts pull out when I'm working - not only does it look bad but it isn't comfortable. This belt works well under most circumstances, but it does seem to do better with polo-style/knit shirts than with the smoother fabric of the 5-11 Stryke shirts, which do start to pull out after a lot of bending and moving (but still not as bad as without the belt). Regular dress shirts for civilian attire are about the same. The belt is noticeable when worn but not uncomfortable if positioned correctly.

Good idea bad materials
I am a police officer. After 1 week this plastic band would curl up into a tube insted of keeping flat to the body. After curling i would get pressure points on my waist and be uncomfortable all day. Good idea bad materials.
