Kids Hot Water Bottle with Animal Cover (0.8L, Owl) Eco Hot Water Bottle, Made in Germany, Soothing Comfort and Warmth, Helps Relief Stomach Ache

We purchased this hot water bottle at Christmas in an effort to settle my son at night when it was Daddy's night to put him down. He used to scream and cry for mommy and it was really stressful for everyone. We got him this as a mommy-replacement (specifically as kind of a weaning-tool) and he loved it right away! It's pretty hard plastic with a big knob on top (hidden inside the cover), but he doesn't seem to mind. We fill it with bathtub water on the hottest setting and the water bottle only gets nice and warm, not so hot you can't touch it. The cover buttons which could be a problem for smaller kids if the button came off, but the lid stays on nice and tight so I'm not afraid of him accidentally opening it and getting burned. I just wish it was slightly softer plastic and a little more squishy.

Very good quality, well padded hot water bottle. Especially for kids. These are made in Germany, unlike other cheap China-made ones, have no strong/offensive rubber smell. Makes a good gift! Our grandkids love them.

I ordered these for my 6yo twins to warm up their beds at night. They LOVE them! They are adorable and safe. I fill the bladder with boiling hot water, put it into the sleeve and place under the covers an hour before bed. Creates a welcoming warmth when climbing into bed. The cover is quite padded and doesn't allow too much heat to come through. The kids ask for these every night which just adds another step to the 800 steps needed to get them to bed, but I'm OK with it cause I get it.

Great for young kids

I find that unlike a standard hot water bottle, the only place to hold it whilst filling with water is exactly where you are going to pour hot water if you wobble whilst filling. The old fashioned cup shape end to a hot water bottle means that you hold to one side and far less likely to burn yourself whilst filling.
