Bonomo Turkish Taffy Assorted Twists Bulk Tub, 216 Count Net Weight 3 lbs ( 1.4 kg )

This is a favorite of some friends, and the 215 count tub is a convenient size to use for Halloween trick or treaters. It is a soft chewable taffy, easy on the teeth. I ordered two tubs and they both had good assortments of chocolate, banana, strawberry and vanilla pieces of taffy. The flavor is good.In reference to other reviews, I would note that if taffy gets too warm it may stick to the paper. That can usually be remedied by putting the taffy in your freezer (I have done that with other taffy type candy). I have to assume that some reviewers received bad tubs from somewhere. I ordered this via Amazon, and it seemed fresh.For people who like taffy of various types, there is also  Assorted Gourmet Salt Water Taffy - 5 pounds , etc.On a side note, these come in a convenient sized plastic tub (with a snap on lid) that can be reused for other purposes.

My favorite candy as an adolescent was every flavor of Bonomo Turkish Taffy! I've waited literally years for it to be re-introduced. I'm a little disappointed. They are all close in flavor & texture but they haven't quite nailed it yet. I thought I'd probably be placing a standing order but once was enough to capture a little nostalgia & get over it. I will admit that I'll probably order another bucketful sometime in the future just to see if it gets better.This is my BIG COMPLAINT - out of 216 pieces I only got TWO CHOCOLATE ONES! What's up with that? 216 divided by 4 = 54. I probably wouldn't have mentioned it even if I'd only gotten 20 BUT TWO?? Did this happen at the taffy factory or does the retailer have such a chocolate fetish that he opens all the canisters in the middle of the night to replace the choclate ones with the other flavors he's been squirreling away? And how devious to give me the two - like he's taunting me for a second time!!

I should have sent this back. Tasted like motor oil beyond old and stale. Also was missing the strawberry.

We got our tub of taffy and were disappointed to find that there were no chocolate pieces in the entire tub. Too much hassle to return, but won't buy again. The taffy we did get was good.

I loved finding this in bite sized pieces. I love this from my childhood and never saw it packaged like this in these small pieces, so happy about that!! One negative is I didn't get one strawberry! After reading other reviews of people not getting one or another flavor in theirs I don't feel so bad, but if the label reads flavors, they should all be in there. Now to put some in the freezer and see if the little ones are as fun to eat frozen as the bars!

These bite sized pieces of Bonomo Turkish Taffy brought back memories. It's the same taffy I remember as a kid in the seventies when you'd buy it in a bar and slam it on a table to break apart. The only difference is that these pieces are softer and a bit chewier. But that was OK with me. I shared them with my daughter who became instantly addicted so I bought another for her birthday. The only negative - and this could be a big one for some people - there wasn't a single piece of chocolate in my tub......just Vanilla, Strawberry and Banana. Their chocolate line must've been down for a few days because the second batch I ordered had no chocolate either. In my case I didn't mind because the other 3 are my favorites anyway. A bit expensive at about 13 cents a piece but this tub should last you a while.

The good: My candy was fresh, tasty, and pleasently chewy as I remember back in the 60s as a child. The bit size never tasted just like the large bars even then for some reason.The not so: Not a single strawberry, too many banana, wrappers as irratating as I remember them.The facts: They may well never be the same as material suppliers, equipment, regulations and our tastes change over time.Conclusion: Not as I remember, but a pretty good sweet treat. I'm buying a box of bars, you can get singles to try at Cracker Barrel.

I did not receive any strawberry pieces in the container. Not even one! Only vanilla, chocolate and banana.This is not what the label on the container or the item description displayed.It described all 4 flavors would be included.Very misleading
