Wow!
Omigosh--- this is EXACTLY what I have been wanting for years! I could never quite justify spending $200 for a cuber which I would use only occasionally -- but for $27???? You bet! It works well (I paid attention to others who said be sure to not try to force it with meat more than 1/2 inch thick, and only wide enough to slide through easily, and I produced pile upon pile of tenderized chops, which I gathered into ziplock bags and froze.I toss a bag onto the counter when I get home from work, they that a little, I pry them apart and give them 80 seconds in my tiny George Foreman grill with a little salt and pepper , and voila-- super supper!BTW, I did beef, pork AND chicken, make sure to grab the bottom of the cubed meat as it came through, ran it back through another time or two, and NEVER had a problem with it rolling up on the rollers! Also-- cleanup is a SNAP! Just remove the cover, unclamp it from the breadboard, hit it with hot spray water from the faucet, swish it in a little hot water, rinse, and put in the drainer to dry. NOTHING could be SIMPLER!!!

Makes great schnitzel
I bought this on Amazon Prime for less that $20. There were some reviews that rate this poorly. However, you have to keep in mind what a "perfect" machine would cost - $100 plus. This machine is not perfect. However for the price it is great. You have to read the instructions and make sure you don't exceed its capacity. It cubes 1/2 inch pieces perfectly;don't try to do 1 inch pieces. I took a whole pork loin and sliced it into 1/2 inch slices for pork schnitzel. I got a little carried away and some of the slices were about 1 inch thick. At that thickness it is really hard to get them through the machine. Stick with the 1/2 inch slices and it works great. Bottom line is - don't expect a $20 piece of equipment to work like a $100-$200 piece of equipment. My only complaint is that there is nothing that fastens the crank handle on (unlike the picture). If I wasn't paying attention the handle would come off the machine in my hand. Probably an operator problem, but still slightly frustrating. Next thing I'm ging to do is slice an eye of round beef roast I have and make some Chicken fried steak - looking forward to it.

Works like a charm.
Now, I have read some people's comments and I would have to say, "if you don't know what you are doing, don't talk bad about the product"! If you have a cut of meat that is too fat, there is one bid trick in how you can get it to run through. Just put on corner in and slowly crank until you can't crank it anymore. Then back crank it out and insert the other corner and repeat the process for all corners.Once that is done, you will have flattened it out enough to run the whole steak again with no problems. If you use it correct, you will get a really nice "cubed" steak and it will turn a bad steak into the steak of your dreams that just melts in your mouth. Made of a very hard cast iron and will last for years to come. Just add some olive oil to the metal after cleaning and wrap it in a plastic bag until you are ready to use again. Enjoy!

Works well for cheap cuts of beef like bottom round
This is an okay product since it does not work on all cuts of beef that we were trying to tenderize. It works well for bottom round but it does not work very well with chuck. The chuck gets destroyed instead of being tenderized. For bottom round - the tenderizer worked really well and the beef cooked up very tender and tasty. So, if you are buying this to tenderize all cuts of meat, you might be disappointed. But for us, knowing that this would work for bottom round (beef), at least we can buy this cheaper cut of meat and still be able to chew it without loosing a few teeth along the way.The tenderizer is also quite hard to clean, there are areas hard to reach without using some sharp object (like a skewer) to dig out the leftover meat that are stuck to the device.

Inexpensive but does the job
As can be seen in the photo, the gears and blades are made of plastic but do the job. Although it doesn't say so, it is dishwasher safe. But have no idea what the plate nor anywhere in the instructions.

Sportsman SM07492 Meat Tenderizer/Cuber
For the money it does a pretty good job, I cut my meat to 1'/2 inch thick, don't figure on putting a big steak through it, as it will flatten out as you run your meat through, I found it worked better for me to remove the plastic guide to feed the meat. I mainly use it for packaged boneless pork loin that I have cut to 1/2 inch thick, works excellent for me on this type of meat, but it does spread out as you run the meat through the tenderizing process. The tenderizing gears are made of hard plastic that works very good, the unit is surprisingly heavy, also it will clamp to 2 inches, my counter top was a bit thicker then that, so used the kitchen table, without any problem, clean up is simple, just dip in hot soapy water, I use a small brush to clean the tenderizer gears, & rinse with hot water.

Great for cubing deli sliced meat
This product did not work out for me at all. It IS very ruggedly built, and if you were only cubing very thin slices of meat, this tenderizer would work fine. That, however, is really the sticking point. There is only maybe 3/16" clearance between those plastic rollers. If your steak is thicker than this (and I do mean anything greater than 1/4 of an inch), it will bunch up above the rollers, and begin to shred itself. If there is ANY hard fat, gristle, silverskin, etc in your meat at all, this will catch on the roller spikes and begin to wind around the rollers, further destroying your steak (not to mention being a REAL pain to unwind and clean off).I was so upset by this product's performance after I used it to thoroughly mangle several top sirloin steaks that I unbolted it from the counter, walked outside, and chucked it in the trash. I didn't even wash it.
