Exactly what I needed
Everyone is axing the headphone jack on phones these days. I missed the days of my old iAudio X5 and jamming around the house to my tunes. Bluetooth earbuds all sounds like crap if you only have a budget pair in. WHat to do, what to do.... Well for my birthday this year I bought the Plenue V and a pair of high quality wired earbuds and it is exactly what I needed! I only got them today but already I uploaded a couple hundred songs and have been on a walk around my neighborhood and vacuumed my apartment while jamming out like it was 2005! Might be that I'm old, but I miss this type of device and its sound quality is amazing with a decent set of earbuds. Onboard software is decent enough, if a bit cluttered, but with the downfall of google music, I'll take it!

Reliable player with great sound
Great device, excellent sound quality and built to last. I’ve had this for 3 months with no issues. I’ve bought cheaper players in the 30 dollar range and they always broke after a few months.

Pound for pound the best sound quality of any recent DAP in this price range
Who is this for:If you're looking for sound quality and that's it, then look no further. Get this.If you're looking for a great user experience and great sound quality then spend another $200 and get the many many great players in that range, but beware, sound quality won't improve over this and in some cases will decrease.Pros:Did I mention the incredible clarity, detail, and range of this little device? It's extemely compact and quickly has become my goto player even at home, look how big the "small" regular iPhone X looks next to this little gem of a DAP.Design looks great, a break from the sea of DAPs out there.Cons:Besides the sound quality, everything else about this device is subpar. The screen is a low res TN panel.Battery life is ok, I'm getting around 8hrs of FLAC play on this.Ergonomic design is horrible, the back isn't flat so it just spins around when you lay it on the table.I was apprehensive about getting a DAP based on a DAC that's used in cellphones (albit in high end ones), but wow, was I surprised at how good this performs.I use Audio-Technica MSR7SE and Shure 846 to listen to my music and they both work really well with this little DAP.This also only has JetEffect 5 vs the JetEffect 7 the Plenu R has but this device actually still sounds better! If I had to pick only one DAP, sadly this wouldn't be it, I still love the Plenu R better because it's truly the jack of all trades and almost a master of all :) If they put the DAC chip from this device in the Plenue R, that would be the ultimate. As for this device, I highly recommend it if you're after one thing and only one thing, audio quality. If you want a better screen, bluetooth, and the ability for the DAP to act as a DAC/Amp then look to the Plenue R (it also comes with 128gb storage) and feels much better as a device.4/5 stars

The Sound Quality Is Great
I am a musician and it really takes a lot to say something is excellent sound quality. I have tried several different portable lossless players on the market but ended up sending them back. I did have to send the first PLENUE V back because it kept cutting off after some songs. In the meantime, I tried other brands, even some higher-priced ones, but ended up coming back to this one because the sound was so good even compared to more expensive ones. It does not have Bluetooth and is pretty basic, but if you are more concerned with the sound, than this is the one.

Plenue MP3 player
Nice good quality MP3 player, but it lacks Bluetooth, in this day and age, Bluetooth has become a necessity. It would be nice to have it a little bigger and user friendly (LARGE) screen...

Great sound!
Mine arrived last night, so I can't comment on the battery life. Some of the reviews of this digital audio player online are fairly negative. The negativity seems to respect the lack of certain features. There's also a very slight lag to the UI.That being said, the sound completely overshadows the criticism. As long as you're going to be happy with an old-school DAP requiring USB sync and wired headphones, then look no further. I've never heard anything that sounds so good. The equalizer and the various audio features allow you to tune in the sound just perfect for your particular headphones.I highly recommend this player.

Great Vocals
My first review was premature. I will keep it short. This chip starts a little confusing. Had a lot of trouble getting the right sound. I use Oppo pm 3 headphones. Just never could get the sound I wanted. Let me tell you this chip needs 50 to 75 hours break in. After that it is great. Only thing I did was add 3db bass 80hz. Absolutely beautiful. Well worth the money. Thinking about buying another one. You won't be disappointed.
