Kookantage Cast Iron Griddle/Broiler Reversible and Pre-seasoned Iron BBQ Pizza Pan (14 Inch, Black)

This pan is great. I gave it 4 stars because it smelled really bad when I removed it from the box. I know it was what it was seasoned with, however, I always strip and reseason my pans so I simply put it in the lye bath earlier than I had planned. It cleaned up and seasoned well. Yes, it is rough but most pans are now days, including those made in the United States (unless you want to pay $100's or you buy vintage.) It is heavy but not as heavy as a new 14 inch skillet, it is a nice weight. Also, being made outside of the U.S. it may have been made in a process using lead but, lead cannot survive the smelting process so you do not have to worry about that (lead would have burned out). I lightly oiled the pan, sprinkled a little corn meal and baked three pizzas. If you look at the pics you can see it wiped right out. Then a simple rinse, drying in oven, and oil coating to make it beautiful again. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys Cast Iron and knows how to use and care for it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the smell.

I looked the reviews for many times and hesitated to buy it, because someone said it would be rust everywhere. Actually it is not a problem, if people take care of it by oiling. For my experience, it is really good to make pizza but not good to make Chinese pancakes. Because of the cast iron material, it is really heavy.

If you are looking for a pan with a hump in the middle look no further this pizza pan has a noticeable hump in the middle makes it useless for anything other than making a pizza...Plus it feels like 30 grit sandpaper very rough texture from the sand casting.... all around cheaply made and the pizza cutter is almost useless also cheap and flimsy the server piece is much better and the silicon handles are a nice touch....

Je donne 4 étoiles en raison de la mauvaise odeur du seasoning de base qui sent la vache et à cause que la boîte était endommagé à la réception ainsi que le coupe pizza. Mais pour la plaque, même si elle est fait en Chine, elle est robuste et semble de très bonne qualité! La surface est très poreuse de base, nous y avons fait un double seasoning à la réception avant utilisation et elle est superbe! La grandeur est parfaite pour un four conventionnel. Je recommande vraiment!

Just as described, perfect size to fit in a ceramic "egg" cooker. Silicone handles are nice. Cutter and lifter are a bit small, but hey they are a bonus and do work well.
