Malfy Con Arancia - Sicilian Blood Orange Flavoured Gin, 70 cl

A gin I love to repeat order. My brother first bought me this as a birthday present and my dad and I loved it. I really enjoy orange gins so I've tried around a few different brands. I've found this blood orange flavour really nice and refreshing and not like a fake orange. When it's poured out of bottle it actually has more of a pink hue rather than bright orange which I find very delicate and appealing looking. I've now started looking out for this gin when I'm out for work drinks since it's one I know I love. If you like blood orange flavoured drinks I reccomend. The lemon version is really lovely too!

Absolutely delicious! I also have the grapefruit flavour, both work amazing in cocktails 🍸 or with tonic and pink lemonade. Quite fussy with gin but was impressed by this brand. No artifical aftertaste

This is ok, but I actually preferred the Lemon to the Blood Orange, which is unusual for me as I really don't like Lemon very much and love Orange. I am not sure why, but I found the Orange just a little bit disappointing. I really have no idea what I expected from it. I love Tanqueray Flor De Sevilla and maybe I thought it was going to be like that. It isn't I don't like Tonic and so tried this with both diet lemonade and Pepsi Max. Much prefer it with the Pepsi then lemonade. The orange comes through nicely with the Pepsi, a bit sweeter than with lemonade, you get the bitterness from the orange as an after taste. It is different to the Tanqueray, and so would I buy it again? Not a big drinker Christmas time mainly socially, but if the bottle got broken yes I would buy again, but only to mix with coke. The bottle is very nice. UPDATE! Saturday I finally received the Pink Grapefruit Malfy, after reviews really the one I was most desperate to try. I am not sure what people are drinking or maybe they have drunk to much of this one as I found this a complete let down. Would definitely not buy this one again. Give me Whitley Neill Pink Grapefruit any time to this one. Unless I got a dud and yes I believe it is genuine, it isn't a patch on Whitley Neill Pink Grapefruit. As I reviewed of the Blood Orange and much preferred Tanqueray Flor De Sevilla the same applies to the Malfy Pink Grapefruit and Whitley Neill. I don't really like Lemon and the best of the three Malfy is definitely the Lemon Gin. I'd recommend that with no problem. The other two basically feel I have thrown my money down the drain and would have been better to have bought replacements of the two I love so much more.

Si presta benissimo a gin tonic più aromatici e fruttati, ma dà il meglio di sé anche in cocktail più complessi, dove le note di agrume aggiungono profondità e originalità. Bevuto liscio, magari con ghiaccio, offre un’esperienza piacevole anche per chi cerca un assaggio diretto e pulito. Un punto da considerare è che, per chi predilige gin più secchi e classici, questo profilo agrumato può risultare meno adatto. Inoltre, il prezzo è leggermente superiore rispetto ad altri gin comuni, ma è in linea con la qualità e la particolarità della produzione. Pro: profumo intenso e agrumato, gusto equilibrato e originale, ottimo per cocktail, qualità delle botaniche italiane. Contro: meno adatto a chi cerca un gin secco tradizionale, prezzo un po’ più alto della media. Conclusione: un gin premium che valorizza ingredienti italiani di qualità, ideale per chi ama i sapori freschi e fruttati e vuole dare un tocco originale ai propri drink. Una bottiglia che unisce eleganza e carattere.
