Halo Grain Free Natural Dry Cat Food, Indoor Healthy Weight Wild Salmon & Whitefish Recipe, 3-Pound Bag

I used to feed my cats Wellness grain-free indoor formula, but they stopped selling it individually on Amazon. I tried this brand because of the great reviews, the fact that it is specifically for weight loss (I have a tubby 14lb female short hair) and it was a few bucks cheaper. The other reviewers are right when they say this food is a bit smelly, but my cats love it! Honestly I only smell it when I open the cereal container I keep their food in, I don't ever smell it when I open my pantry where the remainder of the bag lives. My thinner cat would almost never finish her daily serving completely (1/8 a cup 4x a day) but now they both devour their helpings each feeding without fail. My pudgy cat has even lost 0.5 pounds after a month on this food. It's also worth noting that my cats coats are so silky and soft, not that that they were rough before but I swear their coats are even nicer now. Will definitely continue to buy this food because my cats go absolutely bonkers for it!

I have two cats: a 1-yr old kitten and a 4-yr old overweight cat. I have tried a number of cat foods and both of my cats seem to prefer the taste of Halo to other foods. I've rigged a system whereby my overweight cat gets two 1/4 cup servings a day and my kitten is free-fed; my kitten has continued to put on some weight, as he should while he's growing, while the overweight cat has slowly been coming back down to a healthy weight.I have tried several other brands of weight-loss food (same feeding regime) and Halo is the only food that has actually resulted in my fat cat losing weight instead of continuing to put more on. I take this as good evidence that Halo has found a good balance between satisfying the cats and keeping them on a diet.

My Cat absolutely loves this food! This is very reasonably priced food of exceptional quality. HALO is an excellent holistic approach to complete nutrition that is made in the USA and contains none of the ingredients that cause food allergies. My overweight Cat eats only what he needs, then actually walks away satisfied until it is time for his next meal. I am so pleased to find a food that does not make me feel like I am starving him to lose weight. Grain free food is the way to go to clear up skin conditions and the Salmon oil & flaxseed are rich in Omega 3 fatty acids. The food looks like little Kitty Cheerios & smells great too! I am using the weight loss formula for the first time and will keep you posted on his progress!

Great food. I love that they updated the shape of this kibble to little triangles - much less messy! My cats all gobble this up. My big boy is the reason I use this food. He was portion fed on prescription food for years and continued to gain weight. He's a medical mystery. I often wonder if he has a secret stash or an enabler I don't know about. The vet has run every test under the sun and he's healthy as a horse - just big! In the end, he lives to eat and this food let's him have a "little more" because of the fact the pieces are smaller.

This is not as good for your cat as you think if you are spending this much money you should know the truth do some research on what your cat really needs which is protein they don't need carbs learn how to read the crude nutrition facts you will also find that cats do not need vegetables they are justput in this cat food to make you think that it's healthy for them wet food is also an important part of cats diets ! My cats eat mostly wild calling canned foods and they love it! They like this food too but I won't be buying it again since fish is not as good for them as poultry there is a brand called Orijen If you want to feed your cat dry food it has less carbs and is made in Canada where they have higher food standards than the US

Deadpool likes the food or at least we have not had any issues with it. I believe it is the quality of it. Unfortunately, we will not be purchasing again due to the recent increase in price. Going from $28 to $46 for the 11lbs bag is just way too much. The 4 star is for the price.

There's no food on the market that even approaches the quality of Halo. My cats were all chronic vomiters on all other brands I tried from grocery store to prescription diets and ultra elite high quality food and even homemade food. I started them on Halo about two years ago and all that stopped within the first ten days and never returned. Their coats are shiny and plush and they have loads of energy. I do have to keep them on the healthy weight formula as I feed free choice and the regular seems to really pack the weight on them.

At first, my cat didn't like this as much as the last food I had her on. She always seemed to want more food, even though I was going on the recommendations. But now I've changed her bowl to a slow feeder, and she seems to love every bite!
