Morris Costumes Unisex Crown of Thorns

I used this for our Easter production and it was great. It's not the real thing as it is plastic but it work just as well.

Its been a few years since I had this and nicely surprised that the same look /mold hasn't changed but the material used is softer more comfortable to wear.

Just what I needed

Well we ordered this for a Christmas program prop and when it said plastic I believed it would be a sturdy plastic, not funny smelling rubber. I had to push a wire through it to get it to hold its shape. It worked in the end which is why I didn't give it a lower score but the smell was awful and it lingers on your hands even after washing them.

I actually got this to place on a cross not to wear but it worked out ok. I expected it to be made from dried twigs not rubber so was a bit disappointed at first but you know from a distance you can not tell so it worked fine. Would probably still buy one made from twigs if I came across one. For the great price of this one.... you really can't beat it though. Should have read more about what it made of...my fault not the company's. Actually if you were going to wear it, the rubber material would be much more comfortable than the twig material. My purpose would have been better in the twig material. Depends on your use for it I guess.

I'm a little surprised by the poor reviews here. Although it looks a bit different from the picture, it is fine for the bible story drama that we wanted it for. It is soft rubber, and yes there was a bit of a new rubber smell when I opened the package, but nothing unbearable. The person playing Jesus is able to wear this comfortably without having actually to endure wearing a real crown of thorns.

It doesn’t like to stay in a circle. It’s constantly twisting. I had to put it around my daughters soccer ball to stretch it out. It didn’t take very long for it to go back small and twist. So we have to keep it on the soccer ball for a few days before it’s worn.
