Easy to use with African Black Soap. Cuts very nice and clean.

Nice box, awful slicer
The miter box itself is quite nice. Very rugged, and large enough to use with a variety of loaf sizes.The included slicing tool, however, is awful. The first few loaves I sliced wit this box came out increasingly crooked, to my confusion and dismay. Everything I changed while troubleshooting seemed to make things worse...and then I discovered the source of the problem. The rocking movement required to cut through the soap with the slicing tool, combined with the pressure involved, had been literally bending the slicing tool.I switched immediately to a large chef’s knife, and from the very first slice, my cuts were even and straight! So, I would recommend the box for sure, but don’t waste your time with the cutting tool.
