After ordering leather journals from many Amazon vendors with various covers & sizes (returning most) and trying to find a quality REAL leather journal (with no dye stains, rips, tears, dust and other grime or stamping/writing and dye that doesn’t rub off onto your hand) I finally have come across perfection!The craftsmanship, stamping, dye and hardware (lock) are all perfectly done and you can tell that it was made with love by someone that actually cares and isn’t apathetic. Rare these days sadly.I’m an artist and I wanted a journal to take outdoors in the woods to draw (Plein Aire style) the various different types of trees we have here in the Pacific Northwest. The tree on the cover was beautiful and just what I wanted to house my sketches.I’m SO happy with this find and purchase and wanted to share with others so they know before buying that they will actually be happy.

This is a very lovely journal! The lock is securely attached and works like a charm, and the leather certainly seems real as well as well-dyed (it left no smears on my skin or belongings when removed from the box). I didn't notice any chemical smell as mentioned by other reviewers, for which I'm very glad. The paper inside is incredibly nice and takes fountain pen ink well, exactly what I wanted. For the size, style, and number of pages, I definitely recommend this particular journal as a purchase.

I got this journal as a gift for my husband and he absolutely loved it. He is a non religious wedding officiant and didn’t want to hold a bible so I got him this and it is perfect for the non traditional weddings he officiates!

I picked it up because it looked professional with a gentle touch of beauty... perfect for my business journal!I pefer to create a delightful atmosphere in all my activities, especially the ones I'm not too interested in getting done. This journal will draw me to it, will encourage me to complete the goals I have in managing my business activities. It is sturdy and well made- sure to pass the test of time, lasting plenty long enough for even my grandchildren and beyond to follow my life long after I am gone. It will look fabulous on my book shelf to boot! Very happy with my decision to try this!

I was very excited to receive this order. the book is well constructed, the paper is well made, I got this book to put recipes in to pass down to my grandchildren. I believe it will hold up over time, the leather seems like good quality. the only thing i was a little disappointed that it isn't hard cover it is pretty soft, but the spine seems harder and should hold well and i like the leather flap to help protect pages. Overall it is a good product and would recommend it for yourself or even as a gift.

It was a gift for my daughter, just wasn't sure if you could replace paper once used.

Product was nice to look at but the dye came off on to my hands and stained my fingers. Which in turn has stained my clothes. I’ve wiped it with a damp cloth and as you can see in the photo a large amount of dye has come off. Not happy about this, thank goodness I didn’t lay it on my sofa 😕

after a single use the ink has begun to leak on my hands and I have nowhere to put it, even worse I've already used it once so it is likely I can't get a full refund DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT it's expensive AND a waste of money.
