RETRO ALUMINUM TUMBLERS NON BREAKABLE CUPS SET OF 6

I wouldn't mind buying the whole set I use mine all the time everyday the color hasn't faded they look like they did the day I bought them a couple years ago. They're easy to clean I wash mine by hand using Dawn dish liquid. I love them .

Before purchasing, I read all the 1- and 2-star negative reviews, so when my cups arrived an hour ago, I was pretty happy. Only one was dented, and none were scratched. The colors in the picture are not 100%: my turquoise cup which I most desired was a bit darker, and the blue which was shipped to me was sort of a dirty light blue color. Other than the lack of a "lip" they seem to be similar to what my family had about 1959-1960. Good quality in my opinion. However, seeing it was made in China and concerned about chemical paint leaching, one cup is holding water and another weak acetic acid (vinegar) overnight. There were no dishwashers in the 1950's and therefore no chlorine soap to mix with aluminum, so it wasnt an issue then as it is now. So this only gets 4 stars due to denting, the handwashing requirement, and the colors. If the paint leaches, I'll remove all the stars when my testing is complete.

Bought these on a sentimental whim as they remind me of a set my grandparents had. I wasn't sure about drinking from aluminum, I usually prefer glass, but didn't notice a difference in taste at all; they seem to keep the drink cooler longer. I used at an outdoor party and almost all of my friends shared that they had a similar memory of someone having a set of drinkware like these. One guest asked me where I found a set in such good condition as he has an original set he found at a vintage/antique store. He was amazed that yo can buy a brand new set on Amazon for such a reasonable price. One note: I DO hand wash these as I'm a little leery of the dishwasher scratching or otherwise diminishing the vibrancy of the color.

Grew up in the 60's and 70's and my Grandmother had similar glasses. Her's were a different brand than these were modeled after but this is close enough to take me back. Some on here are claiming these glasses will keep drinks warm or cold, they will not. These are not thermal tumblers, they are single walled just like the old days. Aluminum is a very good conductor of temperature hot or cold, what these will do is transfer the temperature of what's inside to your hand instantly. They may even make your drink reach room temperature faster. The glasses are the same metal thickness as what Grandma had, seem of good quality. Filled to the rim they hold 16 ounces. On a side note these are not dishwasher safe, you never want to put anything aluminum in a dishwasher, all dishwasher detergent is very corrosive.

I love these tumblers. They remind me of when I was a kid, down in our basement we had a bar and party room. I just love them!

These keep your drinks cold. I had to purchase a second time due to popularity in my household and with visitors. They are the go to glass now as the rest of the glasses never get chosen unless these are already all taken.
