Action too high
This arrived virtually unplayable. The action was far too high, I could have lowered it by inserting a new nut and bridge or even cutting the original down a touch. I felt I shouldn't have to do this on a new instrument so returned it and had a full refund.

Ok DIY project if you want to learn how to fix dulcimers.
Dulcimer sounded nice till I tried to play anything that required bass strings. My son examined it and explained that the intonation was wildly out, missed the return deadline so will have to fork out to fix a £200 instrument.
