Love these things! All metal construction, ability to position anywhere, and stable. I purchased a two pack as a potential solution for mounting large GPS devices to the beds of my companies trucks and they work so well, I've bought another 12. We mount gps devices to the bed of our work trucks with these and go down the highway and have not had a single issue. I was looking for a solution that was not made out of plastic because we keep them permanently attached to the bed of our trucks in all weather conditions. This was the perfect solution. I was really surprised how tough these things are, how study they are, and how great the quality is. We are not easy on them but they put up with everything we give them. Long story short. Quality and affordability.

As a musician of over 25yrs, I still often keep a guitar beside the bed. As technology has progressed over the years I've found this truly annoying issue of trying find a position to prop up my cell, whilst lying in bed. I had been just gingerly standing the cell vertically in the neck pocket of the upper horn.. but it is merely just a short-lived bandaid until it falls over in a matter of seconds.. so, my goal was to come up with a better, more secure mounting solution. This mount has fit the bill and seems to serve my purpose exactly as I had hoped. It allows me to keep one of my guitar tablature apps (Ultimate Guitar) open and secured while not having to worry about it moving or falling over, requiring me to stop and reposition, then start all over again. It out a VERY strong mount, and will accommodate most orientations for my needs.. **WARNING** This particular guitar is just beater that I don't regard as a case queen. It has a thin body which marries perfectly with the optimal clamping range. The clamp, itself, is surprisingly very strong and this particular guitar is made from a softer wood. Ergo, the clamp does leave noticeable divots if you look for them. I have a full library of very nice guitars, so this fact is not as problematic for me.. This guitar is just one that I keep in the corner to kill time, come up with a new idea, or simply noodle on while resting.. I've included pictures of how I mounted it to the lower horn of this old Harmony H802.. I also attempted to show my conundrum of leaning the cell into the neck pocket and a brief video of how it would fall over in no time at all. Overall, I'm very impressed and this has fulfilled the need that I purchased it for! Hopefully this helps someone else.

Theses are amazing from cameras to lights they will hold almost anything you need them for. I have used them for all of my equipment including heavier cameras in some cases. The adjustment is superb and the grip is very strong. I have had cameras mounted on trucks outside on highway for miles with no failure they are definitely sturdy. So sturdy I own several of them now. They help me, create new videos with a creative perspective being able to get the cameras just where I want them. From mountain bikes to dirt bikes these are tough and I have not had one issue with them. Works with all quarter inch mounts and is a must own for any creator

This mount works great! Very sturdy and fits on the handlebars of my bike perfectly. Easy to adjust, holds securely. All around great product.

Worked perfectly to hold my flir camera to our top shelf on our desk. It is very sturdy snd intuitive to use and doesnt even move after it was affixed. Great for photos and live video while holding the flir camera in place.

The Super Camera Clamp Mount with Double Ball Head Adapter - # 1138, is a good quality item. Tightening the clamp is easily done. The double ball head adapter is strongly secured when clamp pressure is applied and groves in the ball heads keep the ball head ends from slipping once clamped. The ball head adapter appears to be made of a high quality durable plastic. The clamp is heavy in weight and is of quality construction. Overall I have no complaints with this item. In my application it simply sat clamped onto a tripod post during the short period of time I had it in my possession. So I can't say how it would perform while connected to the handle bar of a bike that's in motion. I returned the item only because I wanted to upgrade to a similar SmallRig item, that being the The Super Camera Clamp Mount with Double Ball Head Adapter - # 3757 which is of even higher quality in all the areas I mentioned for the # 1138 model. The # 3757 is mostly of metal construction and has a nice design and paint job. I decided to upgrade mostly for that reason and Amazon's return policy helped matters as well. I just bought a second # 3737 item but in my opinion both items are great. If that weren't enough, they both have great price points.

UPDATE: Looks like I had just received a DOA/warranty clamp. A rep reached out and fast tracked me a replacement/upgrade for the trouble. Solid stuff, no issues, exactly what I was expecting when I made the initial order (high expectations based on friends love for the product). The customer service rep was excellent at resolving my issue, fast no hassle shipping with tracking for replacement. 5 for customer service and 5 for product. I will be buying more from SmallRig soon. Recieved product was flimsy, threads for mounting jaws didn't work perfect and were super loose but didn't think too much of it at first. Now months down the line I can barely get this thing to stay stuck on what I'm trying to mount my phone to. I have to use a handle extension I made for extra torque to get the jaws to "bite and lock"/stay in place. I wouldn't recommend this until better materials are used or tighter tolerances happen from the manufacturer. It's a cool product and do enjoy it. Just wish the quality had been better.

I purchased this rig to mount my 360 camera on a canoe for an 8 day backcountry trek. It did exactly what it was designed to do easily and efficiently. I kept this on the canoe for several kilometers of portaging through the woods. It held tight with no problems at all. I do have only 1 small issue with the placement of the tightening handle. Its a bit tight for larger hands. Other than it's a perfect device. Its going to be going on many more trips with me that's for sure.
