The just-right front rack for me--YMMV
First and foremost, a wire mesh bottom and sides would increase utility to a five-star rating. However, I have a ton of the lunch-sized Whole Foods reusable bags because I always forget mine in the car, so I just use one of those to put all my stuff in and put it in the rack. I'm able to cross over the handles and loop them over those two little tabs you see on the sides. However, this isn't a review for the reusable bag.I was able to attach the rack to my Pure Cycles Urban Commuter without much hassle. I took my time with it, and I highly suggest that. An adjustable wrench and multi-hex tool were required on my part. Because I ordered an Amazon Warehouse Deal, I didn't have any instructions, but there's a good video on Pure Cycles' website that was immensely helpful. The finished product feels secure and doesn't affect the handling of my bike. My bike's derailleur cable does get hung up on the part where the basket attaches to the bracket and stretches it taut, so I'm going to keep an eye on that in the future.Going back to the basket itself, four stars for increased utility over wearing a backpack. It's a pretty small basket area that will probably fit a three-compartment takeout container or a small bag full of incidentals (but probably not both). I wouldn't put my bluetooth speaker in by itself, but putting it in the reusable bag so it won't fall through works pretty well. I have the ubiquitous Kryptonite Keeper u-lock, and it fits just so in the u-lock loop. Don't try it if your u-lock is wider than 4".Overall, great product! I think it's just-right for what I need it for.

Sturdy and attractive
This is a great rack for my cruiser. I'm considering getting the same rack in black for my commuter. There weren't any instructions included, but installation was pretty straight forward. Once installed, the rack seems very sturdy. Can't give it 5 stars because the u-lock holder is too small; my u-locks are all standard size (a little over 4") and none of them fit. So now I have a slot with nothing in (or I buy a lighter ulock, which seems silly). Some minor quibbles - 1. Parts were shipped loose; 3 bolts were just rolling around.2. Several of the bolts were phillips head; not a big issue but I did replace the one bolt that connects the stem clamp to the rack - with a socket head bolt, I was able to tighten the clamp without removing the wheel.UPDATE - I moved the rack over to my commuter, a Marin Fairfax. It took a little work, as I could not get the included bracket to work. I pounded and reshaped it, but just couldn't get it to fit with the v-brakes - the bracket was in the way. Luckily, I had another bracket off a different front rack that I was able to use. This isn't meant to be negative, just some tips for fitting the rack to a hybrid/commuter bike. See 3rd picture for the type of bracket needed.

Pure Cycle gives you more options.
Pure City does a better job than other front rack manufacturers in designing their racks with multiple mount points and removable fences. Having those braze-ons for the fence alone gives you options to add more things, like lights or attachable baskets and containers. I also like the fact that the supports are removable and are not soldered onto the platform. This give me the option to move them or support this in another way. I just wish that they sold other bars so that I could attached them to my mid-fork pannier mounts. One bad design choice was to put the rear support tabs so far back; they often interfere with the brake calipers. I had to cut them off and add in support from the middle so they wouldn't interfere with my linear pull brakes. This rack is better than other offerings from Nitto, Soma, Origin 8, and Velo Orange.

The challenge of installation!
I like the way it looks on my diamondback hybrid bike. I also like the it's not attached to the handle bar. You can also removed the wall if you want to carry a wider item. It took me a couple of hours to put it together because I had to find screws and nuts that will fit to my bicycle. It did not come with instructions, but it is pretty straightforward. Its just that the screws, bolts and nuts that came with it was not fitting to the holes of the bicycle. So, I had to improvised. Overall, I believed it is well made. But if you are not up for a challenge, you can always ask a friend to help you out.

Perfect fit for my Electra Townie 27D!
Very high quality and easy bolt on. I only wish they included some instructions, but I was able to figure this out. I added a solid bottom to be able to carry small items (and not fall through the bars). I have the same brand on the rear of my bike and love this rack too. Very sturdy but lightweight. I highly recommend.

Perfect for school books!!
So far I LOVE this rack. Quality and very good looking. Doesn't have that cheap look like many that I have seen.I bought it for my son's school text books and they fit perfectly.Even though this was a FRONT bike rack, I set it up to be placed on the REAR of the bike. I had to rig it a bit, but that was by choice. It is just easier to steer with the weight on the back.Overall, all pieces were there. However, it does not come with instructions. It is super easy and basic to figure out. I would highly recommend.

Solid construction and easy to put together
this was easy to set up and the build quality is nice. It's slants a bit forward when attached to my bike so I will have to make some adjustments but overall it was a good purchase.

Five Stars
Excellent quality. But I had to return it because it wasn't wide enough for my super fat tire bike.
