Light, easy to use. Sharp blades which have not as yet become dull after considerable use. Well constructed and robust shears. Seem to be able to get through most types of hedge. Worked well on an old, very dense ivy and a large beech hedge. Tips of blades were very useful in reshaping bushes that had lost their shape.

These are the best shears I've ever used - light, well-balanced, comfortable but (because of the gearing) powerful. I've given mine quite hard use on everything from grass to quite thick beech hedging and they have remained sharp and without any play developing in the mechanism. Unfortunately, as other reviewers have noted, the plastic gearing will break sooner or later; mine lasted two seasons.

Perfect just does the job with ease

I love my shears. Had an identical pair for nearly 11 years (until they broke when used by someone else) - so hope these last as long!!

My gardener broke my Fiskars so these are my second pair. They are brilliant for middle weight gardening. I used them to shear our hedge which is quite big and for clipping back some of the trees in the garden. They're smooth, sharp, comfortable and quite light so ideal for a lady like me. My husband likes to use them too.The last pair we had lasted 2 years and didn't get blunt, we never sharpened them. They only broke when the gardener used them for a very thick branch which is not what they're for.Highly recommend!

This is our second pair of these shears. They are lightweight and very easy to use due to the gear action. The temptation is to attack branches that are too thick for the shears to cope with, and this is how we spoiled the first pair. We would thoroughly recommend them to anyone, but particularly if you have upper body weakness, as they make the job much easier.

There are many hedge shears on the market and I did a lot of research before selecting these - and I'm very pleased with my choice. They are not the cheapest model you could find - but you get what you pay for! This shear is ideal for a mixed variety of medium height hedge and bush work. The gearing mechanism at the blade base significantly reduces arm-jarring, whilst a decent blade length enables a more even cut - and can cope with quite robust material. A useful feature is that part of the packaging has a detachable, sturdy, clear plastic safety-cover for the blades when the shear is in storage. It is recommended to wipe the shear blade down with a rag directly after use. If sap residue is allowed to build up, the blade will become hard to use or even jam. (This can be remedied by using a rag and methylated spirits.) A good tip before every cut is to lightly spray the blades with WD-40. The overall weight of this tool is described as 0.78kg. which is fairly light compared with some competitors. The only thing which lets this shear down is the hard plastic handle design. Fiskars (the product's Finnish company) could have improved ease of use if the handles had been rubberised. Using a decent pair of leather gloves does help to reduce the problem.

Beim Benutzen der elektrischen Heckenschere hat mich immer gestört, dass egal ob Hainbuchenhecke, Buchs oder Eiben immer nach dem Schnitt „gerupft „ aussahen. Mit dieser sehr leichten und handlichen Hand Heckenschere geht’s auch schnell voran und durch den sauberen glatten Schnitt haben die Pflanzen nach dem Schnitt noch eine schöne Optik. vraiment un outil de jardinage parfait pour tailler une haie manuellement. Je ne suis jamais déçu avec cette grande marque. Cisailles plutôt légères, bonne prise en main, effort qui semble démultiplié, bon tranchant. Elles ne se coincent pas dans les branches et respirent la qualité. Agréables à manier, je recommande
