I’m relatively new to paint by numbers, do them to relax but never plan on hanging them…something about this one is different. I’ve taken my time and really liked doing this one. I also plan on buying another one from the same brand.The reason I’m only giving it 4 stars is there’s no key. Also be aware the picture advertised is a high resolution original image. Hope this helps you make your choice

I actually purchased another one of these because I liked this so much for the price. First of all, it's a nice scene. Second - it has both large and small areas to paint, making you feel like you're making a lot of progress if you want to (paint large areas), and that you're an epic painter if you want to do detail work (small areas). There are 3 paintbrushes included, essentially small, medium, and large, your little easel, your paints, the "picture" of what it should end up like that shows the high-resolution original image and the "paint by number" version completed (I have to say, the completed version looks pretty good, too!). The back of that glossy paper also shows you how to put together your included easel. The canvas is already stretched and stapled to a wood frame, so it's easy enough to put on the easel to work on. Also included is a screwdriver and all of your needed hardware to put your easel together and also hang your completed project.It's kind of cool that this all fits inside of the back of the stretched canvas so your canvas lies flat in the box it comes in. I like that. To me this is a relaxing hobby and a great way, too, to teach kids how to paint. A good beginner project. The colors in it are beautiful, it's a pretty scene, and anyone of any age could be proud of the completed project. I would love to gift this (especially for the price!).

This set is much better quality than I was expecting - I'm impressed.The canvas is stretched over a wood frame and is secured to the frame very well.The printed pattern on the canvas is very clear and easy to read. Some of the numbers are fairly close together, so you just have to be careful when you paint so you can still see the numbers of the adjacent sections.The included brushes are a decent quality. However, I do a lot of paint-by-number paintings so I prefer using my own paint brushes.I've only just started painting this kit, so haven't used all the paints yet, but so far, the paint is a very good quality with good coverage. The paint pots seal well and are easy to open and snap closed.The image of the tulips is very nice and the choice of colors really go well together. I love the overall look of this design and style.The included easel is not assembled, but all the hardware is included. The easel is easy to put together.This kit does come with a small printed sheet of what the final painting will look like, BUT... it doesn't come with a sheet that shows just the outlines and the numbers - like most other paint-by-number sets do. I really wish this set came with this sheet, as some of the numbers are really close together and when you paint over one section, you really have no choice but to paint slightly over the adjacent section, and then you can't read the number so you have no idea what color to paint that section. This is especially the case in the stems of the flowers.Overall, I am very happy with the quality and style of this set. At less than $10 - this is a very affordable gift and is a fun project to work on when unwinding after a long day.PROS:- Quality canvas- Canvas on frame is very nice- Paint quality is very good, with great coverage and easy flowing paint- Included easel is nice for displaying finished paintingCONS:- No printed outline sheet with numbers on it

No separate number guide and canvas details are so small that the numbers don't fit inside the space to be painted. Also the canvas is very poorly stretched on the frame so has a lot of give. Will NOT buy again.

This kit is so fun to use! Setting it up was really easy, and all the directions were crystal clear. It’s also great because it comes with everything you need and is ready to use right out of the box. The colors on the canvas and paints are vibrant, and the quality of everything is good. You can even make your own art, which is cool. It's a great choice if you want to create some artwork and have some fun at the same time. And now that I've tried it, I'm definitely looking forward to doing some more painting.

In addition to having small text, many of the numbers blend in with the boarders or even extend beyond them. Therefore, they are going to get painted over by other colors. There is a piece of paper with a picture of the design and there is shading on the canvas that helps a little. I can see now how I am going to have to guess the colors at the end.They probably shouldn’t have tried to make such a detailed design on such a small canvas.
