The camera does what it says, and is great for the price. A simple to use and effective camera. Display quality is very good, audio is basic but what do you expect for the price? No issues with setup. Just wish it would allow deletions of movement recordings by the app. Overall very happy.

I’ve purchased two of these Tapo cameras in the last year and setup is quick and straightforward. When connecting your camera to the Tapo app it gives you a pop up to buy a plan for the camera but you don't need a plan. With a micro-SD card installed, you can use the Tapo app for free without needing a subscription. To install the SD card, turn off the camera and push the camera upwards inside the uit and you will see the SD slot on the bottom. Insert your cared and your good! The motion tracking is excellent—smooth object panning that reliably follows activity. Depending on placement, I recommend turning off the microphone indoors, as playback of household sounds can be distracting. One issue I’ve noticed: my first camera occasionally stopped recording when the 32 GB SD card reached about 26 GB capacity. A simple format usually fixes it, though once I had to wipe the card using my PC. It’s rare, but worth checking storage status periodically. Overall, this camera delivers strong features and dependable performance. I trust it daily to monitor my home and feel confident leaving it running while traveling abroad.
