Healthy Kids Organic Ready To Drink Meal Replacement Strawberry 12

This is in regards to the vanilla flavor. The cases we’ve gotten in the last couple months has this yellow oil substance that others have mentioned. I have noticed if it’s at room temperature/cold it’s all normal (no yellow oil) but if I were to warm it up for the little one the yellow oil like substance appears. I want to think this is due to the sunflower oil in the ingredient but it’s never been like this before as we’ve purchased this protein drink for years (I’m not sure if lately they had formula change).

My kids keep asking me to buy these. Vanilla is the favorite in our family. It tasts good especially cold. I pack them one for lunch and try to keep them handy for some extra nutrients. Purchased several times!

I’ll first start by saying these have been my daughters go-to drinks for the last few years. She absolutely loves them, 5 stars there. We have had an active subscription through Amazon for over a year as it was cheaper than regularly buying them from our local grocery stores. However, this last order we received…. Was VERY off compared to any other order we’ve gotten. They aren’t expired, so it isn’t that. But they are oddly separated with a bright yellow, almost “grease” like look. I can’t explain it, I’ll attach a photo but the taste is off and no matter how much you shake them, they separate like that. I’ve wasted so many down the drain as they just seem not right. They’ve never had this appearance or off taste before. I’m truly hoping it is a one off. I’ll give my subscription/order one more go around and see if it’s back to normal, then I may try the local grocer again to see. But I’m really hoping nothing changed in these drinks that makes it a permanent or recurring problem!
