Expected humor, got heartfelt with humor
I'll preface this review with the fact that I'm not the target audience - young adult females - as I am a married late twenties male. I still found this book highly enjoyable and relate-able.Grace, and this book, feels like an older sister who has that wisdom that's a lack of wisdom.. it's hard to describe. It's like taking an episode of Clarissa Explains it All but with an Eric Matthews twist. While I and presumably most others were expecting dry punny humor disguised as self help book, which it has and is, the core of it is very personal advice. You know when the main character messes up something really bad - a decision, an action, anything - and falls down? They always have that older sibling, friend, relative, who comes in and says "Hey, we've all been there and your emotions are okay. Here's the plan to get back on your feet". That's this book. Everyone has problems, your feelings are understandable, and here are some tips on getting things back on track.Towards the e-book edition:I read most of this on a Kindle Paperwhite v1, the content of the book was perfectly formatted except for the endings of the chapter and the worksheets. The worksheets you can find as a pdf on the books website and the endings err, uh, summary? is just a minor thing that takes up a little more room than it should with alignment being a little wonky. After finishing the book, I did go back and flip through the pictures using the web based reader -- almost made me wish to get the paperback for those alone as they are hilarious and fit in perfectly with each antidote and section.

And she also was a good Latin student........
Disclaimer right up front -- I was Grace Helbig's Latin teacher for five years so some may see me as biased. That said, I laughed, I cried (well actually I laughed so much I cried)as I read this wonderful book. Grace has grown up to be a marvelous comedian, and I am sorry that up until now I have missed so much of her journey. Hey - I taught Latin for 42 years, not exactly from the YouTube generation. "Grace's Guide" is wicked funny and wicked smart. All my JCL friends should take note of her version of young love at the University of Kentucky National Convention pp. 120-123. Spot on teen-age view of the JCL mating ritual. Take it with a grain of salt, and just laugh. BTW - Grace, you were NEVER assigned to a co-ed dorm. I'll chalk that up to literary license.Whether Grace is advising you on job interviews, travel tips, or how to survive a hangover, her writing is just plain fun, self-deprecating, and down-to-earth. She is also to be commended for including her mother's words of wisdom wherever possible. BUY THIS BOOK !!!!!

Grace Helbig is a pure delilght.
For a softback, this book is very high-grade. Glossy pages, full color photos. Very enjoyable read. Although more intended for Millennials, a lot of it is applicable to everyone. Well worth the price, a great gift for the right person.

Brevity and comedy combined
Grace Helbig is awkwardly engaging and funny in her YouTube videos and film. It is no surprise that she writes in an engaging and amusing manner. This is a quick and light read. The cost is currently a bit high for such a short book ($12.99 for the Kindle version). I had to take a moment to rationalize my purchase as being part of my commitment to support people who work hard to become well-known enough to get such a book deal. There are some very clever and hilarious parts of this book - some bits were so funny that that I felt compelled to share excerpts with a friend who was near me while I was reading. If you liked Tina Fey's "Bossypants", I think you will enjoy this book due to similarities in the style of humor. Although, I think that the target audience may be younger than Fey's.

"Make it Fun!"
I've been a fan of Grace Helbig for a while now. I first discovered her when she and her friend Michelle were making videos together. They always managed to cheer me up on my darkest days. Even then Grace was also making solo videos, but for some reason at the time I didn't watch those as often. I have no idea why.Well, Grace's style of humor is now in book form, a mix of genuine life advice and hilarity that will make anyone feel good. If you enjoy Grace's videos, you'll enjoy this book. Along with advice on dating, making friends, decorating as an adult, some unique cooking recipes, managing a digital life, and even how to get over break-ups and hangovers; Grace also provides a series of photos and stills from some of her videos. It's easy to tell she had fun putting this book together. One of the things I love about Grace, and this comes through in Grace's Guide, is her general attitude. A phrase that gets repeated several times here is "make it fun." If you could boil down Grace's life philosophy into one sentence, I think that would be it. This whole book epitomizes "make it fun," so do yourself and favor and pick up a copy for yourself or that friend who could use a good chuckle. Definitely worth it.

Grace sobrepasa expectativas
Estuve muy indeciso sobre si comprar un libro de auto ayuda pero es mucho más que eso es un libro de comedia que puede servirte de algo

Thanks for the protip: youtube "men falling out of boats".
Funny, frank, and a little bit awkward; I didn't realise I was spending time with myself incorrectly until I read this book. Helbig brings her personal brand of humour and levity to such situations as hosting dinner parties, holding a job, and dealing with crippling anxiety while suddenly being classed as an adult. 'Grace's Guide' is an overall enjoyable read that gives a refreshing and light-hearted perspective on some of the more serious aspects of growing up, and is a must read for anyone who is supposed to be an adult by now (and isn't quite sure they've gotten there).

Grace is awesome, and you know it!
Grace Helbig channeled much of her Youtube persona in this book, so needless to say this book is a total winner! Even if you're not into her videos, give this book a try and you'll love it. Her witty writing style and funny banter make up for the book's charm. She dishes out advice without you realising it and most of it is pretty easy to identify with since she backs them up with her own experience.Although it sounds like a self help book, but don't be fooled, it reads like an older sister guiding you through life's pitfalls with sane (and sometimes insane) advice! :)
