These struts are an exact fit for my SnugTop camper shell. Installation was easy and they work great. I would order these again.

Good products. Use them for extra support on my e-bike rear cargo rack.
I did not use the struts for a normal vehicle application but they do compress about 2 inches which is enough travel for my application. I utilized them for extra support for my custom made e-bike rear cargo rack. I couldn't use solid supports due to the fact that the bike has rear suspension and the rear section of the frame has a pivot/flex point that moves up and down so the supports needed to have some type of movement so the bike suspension can still travel. I am not using them for a vehicle hatch or box lid, etc. I did try to compress them by hand before installation and I was not able to compress them by hand they were very stiff but they are rated for 100 pounds so I'm sure they would've been fine on a rear SUV hatch. They came from the manufacturer fully compressed with the polyester straps sewn on so they obviously are able to compress. Any customer that says they won't compress most likely bought a strut that it overrated for their application in my opinion.

100lb lifts are stout
I got these to replace the ones for the lift up door on my truck bed camper topThey fit perfectlyI do wish I would have got the 30lb version instead of the 100lbBut they work perfectly and the door stays up effortlessly

Fantastic struts for range hood cabinet
The media could not be loaded. I bought these gas hinges for a new range hood cabinet that we built above our stove in our kitchen. We wanted the door to be able to lift up and not hit the ceiling. These gas struts did exactly what we needed and work well with the size of our cabinet and the weight. My husband installed them and said they were fairly easy to install and we’re pleased with the end result. These were a good purchase and I recommend these gas struts.
