I am a foodie and I enjoy cooking a lot. I have used hing from various brands like Ramdev, Catch and MDH.While one of them is too strong in aroma, the other one is too mild. The third needs to be pounded every time before use.When I searched for hing on Amazon, I stumbled upon Tassyam Hingwale Premium Kabuli Hing .One interesting fact I learned was that it is a secret recipe from generations which was further perfected by Lala Ramdev Ji "Hingwale" in 1940. So this is an exclusive product and my expectations built up tremendously.It is hand pounded hing.The price seemed on higher side but if the flavour and aroma that was promised are delivered I would not mind paying that much.The Hing is packed in a glass bottle and was covered in nice layers of bubble wrap packing to keep it safe from damages.The glass bottle with glass lid and a rubber seal for airtight closure looks pretty and premium.Inside the bottle hing was packed in a plastic pouch.The ingredient are hing, wheat flour and gum Arabic. Net weight is 50 grams.Now the acid test >>>I used it to make sambhar, baingan Bharata, and dals and sabji. I loved it a lot. It lends an amazing aroma and flavour to the food and I feel the quality is top notch. It is much different from the ones I have used and a lot better. There is no bitterness in taste as with some brands and the aroma is pleasant and appetising.I like to add asafoetida to most of preparations as it has great digestive and antibiotic properties .It enhances immunity also. I am fully satisfied and it's a thumbs up 👍 from me.

This kabuli hing is 100% natural and no added colours.the fragrance of this hing is very strong and natural.this is helpful in digestion and gassy stomach.i use it in all curry and tadka .i also use it to my baby 's stomach if he feels uneasy.

Has a very strong hing smell but it does not give the right flavor. Dishes like rasam and sambar require the right flavor of hing, which unfortunately is not provided by this hing.I used mdh hing regularly before this and it was so flavorful. Had to get tassyam as mdh was not available, regretted buying this.

One of the few Amazon purchases I've made where I felt compelled to leave a review without being prompted.The packaging was great, ensuring my jar would be undamaged.The spice itself was also wonderfully packaged inside a sealed plastic bag, contained inside the cellophane wrapped jar. Brilliant.!I can't comment on the spice taste yet but it smells wonderful and I know it will be as fresh and authentic as I could hope for.
