Very easy to hatch, eggs still hatch if you leave them out of the freezer & fish go wild when I add them. The little bag last me about 6 months, my tanks have scuds so I don’t add them all the time though. I would hatch 1/2g about twice a month for a 55g & a 10g, from fry to adults, fish love Brine Shrimp. When I first got the package, I didn’t realize it said to keep at 40°F or colder so, without knowing, I left it on my kitchen counter for a few months & surprisingly I still had a high yield for hatch rate. Great food for fish, not sure about keeping them as pets though.

Here's my little home made set up, an old mayonnaise jar(well cleaned) a light directly in it. A 60CC syringe to draw them from the middle. Water stone on a pump right in. I've done one scoop brine shrimp eggs/two scoops salt ratio Also I've used water from my 55 galleon fish tank instead of sink water Great hatch rate! Trying another batch of these soon and hopefully they hatch just as well. Will update if there's any issues

Well looking up brine shrimp to buy everything is a different package different size/weight. Unless you're a full time drug dealer/user who the heck would know how much half an ounce is a of brine shrimp eggs. Well dollar for comparison of package size. It's full of tiny tiny balls(eggs) about the size of table salt crystals. Even then to me I was like this a joke. I paid how much for this little bit of nothing? Well... Sea monkeys didn't make it for whatever reason, I did exact as the package said. 1 survived. I ordered these cause I felt bad for the little lonely guy in there and I think I was more disappointed than the kiddos. I used the tiny tiny food scoop to put a scoop of these new eggs in the container.. well I messed up cause there's about 100 of them in there now. It took a couple days to hatch I had to stir em around a couple times but now there's sooooo many. And I still have the tiny envelope FULL of eggs. I have no clue what to do with all these now lol. I'm in trouble lol. Perhaps if you hatch according to instructions and all that they hatch faster and properly but there was a bunch of eggs that stuck to the spoon after stirring it. And I rinsed it a little plant container I'm trying to grow an avocado tree in that isn't work and now there's ones in there too so hatching is easy even in crummy water no bubbler or heat, just takes a bit of time.

I tried growing brine shrimp as a child with no success, bought this to give my guppies some live food. Was so surprised at how easy it was to hatch these! At first I wasn't sure what I was supposed to see, but I put 1 tablespoonof eggs in 2 L of water with 4 tablespoons of sea salt and I put in an airstone in a 1 gallon tank. Brine shrimp are orange according to what I read online because I wasn't sure what I was supposed to see, the tiny orange circles were moving so I assumed they hatched. I'd bought the brine shrimp net but egg cases and shrimp remained in the first net so I just put that in the aquarium and the fish ate what they saw. I'm not sure what to feed the brine shrimp with but online says egg yolk, brewer's yeast or spirulina. I have some hand feeding mix for baby birds which should have egg in there so I added a pinch of that to the tank. There is a mass of orange in the tank on the second day now! I've been feeding the fish with scoops 2 -4x throughout the day for two days now!
