Gwisdom Ender 3 Extruder, CR-10 Extruder Upgraded Replacement, Aluminum MK8 Drive Feed 3D Printer Extruders for Creality ENDER3, CR-10, CR-10S, CR-10 S4, CR-10 S5

I was aghast at the 'packaging' it came all loose in a battered baggie and part of the base was scratched, fortunately it was the underside so not seen, no instructions but it's a simple enough puzzle, a couple of tips:1/beware once you unscrew the old extruder the stepper motor will drop off so make sure you support it when you remove the last screw.2/ the drive gear needs to be positioned at the correct height, I marked the position on the stepper motor on the shaft before I removed the old cog (also make sure it's the correct way up - screws towards the top).The Bowden coupling I received didn't work at all, it would not grab the tube so I had to use my old one.All that aside, once fitted it performed perfectly and the initial niggles were forgotten, it's far better than the original and my over and under extrusion issues ceased and my next print was near perfect and even.I've given it a generous 4 stars because of this, it would have been 5 if it had better packaging and the coupling worked.Anyone with a plastic extruder then I recommend this as a must upgrade, it's a good price and worth every penny for the problem it solves :)

The extruder is easy to assemble, however it would add value to have a brief assembly instruction note included. I took care to photo the old extruder before I replaced it with the new one. I particulary like that the motor tap is mounted using screws.

I'm very happy with my purchase. The aluminium extruder upgrade on my Ender 3 works great when combined with a couple of mods which I'll provide links for at the end of this review.I decided to stick with the stock extruder spindle on the motor as the teeth are deeper and sharper. The pneumatic fitting for the PTFE tube while not as bad as the Ender's stock one, did show a little wobble with retraction, so I printed the Ultimaker Extruder Multi Clip at 80% scale and it fit nicely. I now get excellent extrusion and retraction with no stringing.The Ender 3 also suffers from a slight design flaw where the filament comes very close to the Z axis screw. This aluminium extruder upgrade does nothing to address this, which is a pity. I printed the Filament Guide Easy Install, and it's now working great and at no risk of snagging or gumming up the Z screw.Amazon won't let me put direct links, but on Thingiverse you just add /thing:### to the end of their web address:/thing:24363 Ultimaker Extruder Multi Clip, print at 80% scale or it'll be too big/thing:2920344 Filament Guide, easy install (remove and refit one screw and it's solid as a rock but squeaks a bit)

The well-documented issue with Ender 3 concerning the extruder lever cracking, which happened to me is never obvious as it happens underneath out of view. This is a direct replacement for the entire extruder and is very easily installed. Works and treat and no issues so far. I bought a second replacement extruder for a second printer and replaced it during setup so as to not have to experience it later.

Easy to fit and really works all at a affordable price!

Works well. Just grips. The only issue I have had is that it tears up one wood filament I used. But I switch back to the original extruder spring for that one and it solves the problem.

I have seen other reviews staring the product doesn't include some components, I can confirm that of October 2019 I have received everything necessary to mount and use the extruder.The price is good and serves a good replacement for my original extruder which cracked from continued use.

Couldn't remember the previous one i had bought, so ordered this one.Original part started to wear rapidly as it was plastic. So replaced it with the aluminium one. Very easy to replace the old one. No Problems
