My girlfriend revealed to me she has never even heard of the Fresh Prince, thinking she had to see something of it I put on a clip of Carlton dancing and will catches him... She thought It was hilarious but asked who they were (she new Will but not the character) needless to say she watched this in one sitting even though we started at 12 am and we were litterally talking to eachother as we were falling asleep but I bought this intead of sleeping... Worth every penny

This is one of the best shows of the 90's and stars 80's rap star Will Smith and co-stars Alfonso Ribeiro(and the Carlton Dance). The show, while having a fantastic cast, also sports one of the catchiest theme songs since the courtships of eddies father.The story follows Will Smith who is sent to live with his well to do aunt and uncle in Bel-Air, after he gets into a fight in his hometown of West Phillie. This of course is all explained in the catchy theme song I mentioned earlier.Perhaps my opinion is biased. I grew up watching this show, never missing an episode, and while I was never as cool as Will Smith(Or Carlton for that matter), I could live vicariously through their hijinx!So, if you watched and enjoyed this when you were younger, pick it up and give it a watch again. I guarantee you will laugh and love it today, as much as you did then. Never seen it before? You owe it to yourself to experience this piece of television history

Fresh Prince of Bel Air is a television classic that shot the beloved Will Smith into stardom. It's funny, informative, powerful, and entertaining. Will Smith's frequent breaking of the fourth wall and the comedic timing of music and effects make it a pleasure to watch. The characters are lovable and it's a joy to watch them grow and mature throughout the series. The show deals with topics such as ethnicity, equality, female empowerment, self-worth, and adolescence beautifully. Kids will laugh at Carlton's awkwardness, teens will laugh at Will's "rebel attitude", adults will laugh at the intelligent and well used jokes, and even the elderly will get a kick out of references to times gone by!

The Fresh Prince is a great tv series. It is meant to be a comedy that doesn't take itself seriously. Lots of overacting but it works for the way the show is designed. It does also have shows that are a bit more serious that are centered around moral situations. Will Smith made it to where he is today by refusing to use profanity and to be a positive role model. In the beginning of the series it is true that he acts like an idiot and very silly, but as the seasons goes on he evolves into a much more mature person but still with a sense of humour and laid back style.With all the crappy tv on these days with violence and excessive sex, and stupid reality tv shows, it is reFreshing to have an alternative that still gives you a laugh without being over dramatic. We really don't have tv shows like this anymore. The show lasted over 4 seasons for a reason! I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone who has never seen it before. I grew up watching this series as a kid, and to this day I still find it highly enjoyable!

A timeless classic. Will Smith's career was saved because of this show. He was almost bankrupt, he poured his comedy, heart and soul into this classic, I'm very grateful, because we got to see the growth of a legend. A+ season 1 and A+ show.

Still the fun comedy I remember growing up.

Back when The Fresh Prince of Bel Air followed The Simpsons on BBC 2 in the evening, I never really got into it. Every episode was a repeat and I knew of Will Smith only from Men in Black. It was only after finding the 'Carlton Dance' video online that I decided to buy the full series and it was possibly the BEST decision of my DVD life!The first 2 episodes in particular are hilarious and DJ Jazzy Jeff's recurring exit from the Banks' house never fails to get a laugh. I've never wanted to recommend a sitcom so much!

Im a huge fan of ALL Will Smiths work though this show is 1 of my favourites!! The shows is without doubt a complete classic throughout the series....i struggle to choose which series to watch cos i love them all & keep finding them more & more funny every time

A brilliant dvd compiling the entire first season, I love the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, a brilliant old school comedy featuring my favourite actor. It never fails to make me laugh and the 25 episodes on 5 discs is enough to meet anyone's needs. Can't recommend enough.

I love will smith in this its funny and the things he gets upto.His cousins Carlton and Hillary are classic shes the tipical rich kid and he is trying to be popular like Will with the ladies .Well worth a watch if your feeling down it will make you laugh .
