I bought two of these kits for the hell of it, not really expecting much. Well, so far one of them has hatched weeks before the actual hatch date, and there are over 12 babies! The fairyshrimp capsules that came with the kit didn't hatch for me, but we already had a brineshrimp hatchery set up, so the baby killifish have had enough to eat. The killifish are about two weeks old now and going strong. The other kit isn't supposed to hatch until December, so no opinions on that one specifically, but that first kit was definitely worth it!

Okay seems to be a nice idea but the work purchase this in may and received a set with a use date of August 1, Reread the instructions and follow them to the letter looked around in the peat moss couldn't find anything that resembled a fishing no little eyes is described even used a high-power magnifying glass to look saw nothing just to be sure took a very small amount of the soil and placed it in some distilled water just to see if I couldn't see the eggs because of my declining vision nothing hatched no fry know nothing Forward five days to repeated the check for eggs look for eyes same result as before tried say things took a small amount but it distilled water to see if anything would hatch out no fry yet again Tried again today at the +10 Mark still nothing to be seen in the peat moss tried again to force something to hack out by placing some of the peat moss and distilled water nothing I can only conclude at this point that while this is a great idea really don't get any fry out of this nice packaging no I cannot at this time recommend this product after waiting three months to see if we would get anything out of this nothing hatched

I recently purchased these with a hatch date of October 10th / but none of the eggs have moving fish in them even when they have eyes... Three have hatched early without moving... And there was a few dry eggs ,, eggs that looked crack or already hatched( exspectable) ...the mail office had them cold,, idk if that's an issue. I'll add to this after October 10th and let them know.
